This stylish apartment offers comfort, a very central and well connected location and everything you need to make your stay as easy and pleasant as possible. Its composed of one bedroom with queen size bed, living room with 2 lounges and dining table, 2 small balconies, kitchen and a bathroom. The property is very clean throughout and has 2 A/c systems and central heating to cover anything the weather throws our way :)
THE IMMEDIATE AREA:
Monti is located by the Roman Forum, it is actually Rome's oldest suburb, you will have the Colosseum at one end of your street and Termini central station a short bus trip or walk away. You also have 2 Underground Metro station close by so getting around town wont be an issue. Via Cavour is 50 metres away and it has many restaurants and bars, scooter rental shops, tour operators and shops all the way up it.
Via dei Serpenti is another great street close by, with a Piazza popular among Italians, expats and tourists. There's a fantastic wine bar there on the corner, perfect for evening Aperitivo's. Along this street during the day, you will find some authentic Roman bakeries that are a must visit.
I know of a few great tour guides in the area which I can suggest, just make sure you tell me in advance so you don't miss out on some critical tours, there's just so much to see.
Sun, great view, quiet upmarket neighbourhood and well connected to the rest of the city...Dolce vita indeed.

Ciampino Airport is 17Km's away (10 miles)

A very nice and always available person.
Apartment ideally located.
I recommend to all
Overall this apartment is in a good location and for this price it is hard to find a place so close to all the action.
Communication before arrival was different from what we have experienced before with AirBNB as Alex prefers to not use the AirBNB message system but direct email. These tend to go to junk email or not arrive at all, maybe because of the (expensive) tours that he offers. I would prefer to be messaged via Airbnb instead of being told we have missed emails.
Upon check in we had some difficulties and believe that with a little bit more attention this apartment can be a lot better. At check in we paid our 40 euros cleaning fee upfront as agreed. It was a shame to then find that the apartment was not that clean. We took photos and sent them to Alex who then had the cleaner return to correct this, which was appreciated. We still cleaned a bit ourselves the next day (we are not clean freaks, we just travelled in Bolivia and Peru!). Then on that same day we found that none of the drains were draining at all, so we had to contact Alex again, he had this solved the same night.
Besides this we found the apartment could be a bit better ‘stocked’. There was a quarter roll of toilet paper when we checked in. We booked for eight days and got one towel each. There is no decent kitchen knife. Internet is via a 3G Wifi hotspot which just doesn’t work most of the (website hidden) and Sky never worked, lots of distortion. Apartment is advertised with washing machine (and shown in photo) but there is none (we got offered reimbursement for a load at Laundromat when mentioning this). Biggest issue for us though was that the place is not 50 meters off Via Cavour as advertised but right on top of it and traffic noise is substantial. Also the metro passes right under the building and each time there is a mini-earthquake. Not the best sleeps, although the bed is comfortable.
All in all with a little bit more attention to detail this could be an ok place for a deep sleeper, bearing in mind the price is really good for this part of Rome.
UPDATE: After posting this measured but fair review we instantly received a vindicative, unprofesional and most of all untrue reference on our profile. Please have a look at our profile and keep this in mind when you book with Alex.
Really Richard, this is getting a little embarrassing on your part. The way you acted, pushed for a discount and your lack of communication in relation to the issues you were having is a just childish. When future guests book through me they will see that 99% of my guests are more than happy due to our service. But there is always that 1%. Take care.
Brilliant location for a short stay in the heart of the city - 10 minute walk from the Colosseum and Termini - and reasonably priced, especially for Rome.
Couple of negatives unfortunately - apartment is a little tired in places, fridge didn't work properly, bathroom had a strange smell and although we pre-arranged late check out at 4pm we were asked to leave at 2.30pm.
Overall a lovely stay, just bear in mind you get what you pay for.
Im sorry to hear that guys, if you had told me about the fridge I could have told you that you needed to lift the door a little when you shut it.
As for the late check out, conditions were that you left your bags there until 4pm, not that you stayed in there until 4pm as I needed my cleaner to get the property ready for our next clients.
I'll send some pipe cleaner down the bathroom pipes to fix the smell issue. The pipes in these old buildings can easily block up from time to time. Thanks for the information as it will help this property get better reviews.
Great location, 10 mins walking distance from Termini stataion. Facility inside is new and clean. Thanks very much!
Very central and convenient apartment in a good location.
No luxury, but affordable with all necessities.
Except from some cigarette smoke sipping through the wall from the neighbor, the apartment was a nice place, and very quiet despite windows facing a busy street.
Alex and his crew were very welcoming, and they delivered perfectly.
Will not hesitate to contact him on another occasion.
The flat was marvelous and just as it is pictured. The location was was central to the best Rome has to offer as well as easily accessible by train.
I would stay here again and would recommend it highly to prospective travelers.
