I am a 40 something mum of 1 beautiful daughter. I was born in Liverpool but spent most of my working life away from Liverpool and I’ve now been back 13 years and really enjoying living in the city now. Natalie and I have travelled a lot the last few years and have been fortunate enough to visit Spain, Croatia, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Australia & New Zealand. We are busy planning our next adventures which we hope will include Hong Kong and Thailand. We have stayed at Airbnb properties and we think we know what works and what doesn’t which is why we’ve now opened up our home to what we feel is our little community.
If you’re coming to Liverpool for business or pleasure we can make great recommendations about where to eat or what to see and how to get there. Natalie and I know Liverpool like the back of our hand so feel free to ask away.
As you can see from our reviews our apartment is situated in the heart of the city, there are very few apartment blocks closer than ours. We are opposite the Albert Dock which houses the Echo Arena, we are next to the new Liverpool One shopping complex and are about 10 minutes walk from Lime Street station. We are approximately 15-20 minutes by bus from Liverpool John Lennon airport, 10 minute walk from Lime Street train station, 15 minute walk from Norton Street coach station.
The room is an en-suite double room which has great views out over the dock and wheel. Fresh bed linen and towels will be supplied along with mini toiletries should you need them for your use. There is wardrobe and drawer space for you to drop your stuff. The bathroom has a walk in shower but there is also a family bathroom should you wish to take a soak in the bath.
We provide a continental breakfast of cereals, pastries, tea, coffee, juices and can supply a traditional fry up if needed (needs to be ordered in advance). 3 course homemade dinner can be supplied for £10 per person if required.
The kitchen & lounge:
The open plan kitchen and lounge has amazing views of the waterfront and Albert Dock. Feel free to sit and relax, watch tv or a dvd, play a few games on the wii or sit and read a book, it’s up to you. Help yourself to free tea and coffee, there’s always cold water in the fridge should you need it. Feel free to use the kitchen to prepare a meal or snack, all we ask is that you load the dishwasher when you’ve finished as this is Natalies chore and she hates loading the dishwasher!
We now have unlimited free wifi, just ask us for the password. We can provide a very functional and useful (not old and crap) laptop for you to use whilst you're with us. Having a proper computer available when looking to organise things is always handier and quicker than using smartphones and tablets etc.
We have a washer and dryer and would be happy to show you how to use it (big laundry 20m away if you want to have someone do it for you).
We also now have a triple bunk room suitable for 2 adults and 1 child up to about age 14, please send us an enquiry if you are interested in this option.
We have stated noon for check out but we can be flexible depending on whether we have guests arriving or leaving. Please contact us with any special requests.
Any other questions or requests please just ask!
I stayed at Jo's apartment this weekend only for one night, but I loved the experience. She is a kind and accommodating host, and the location is absolutely perfect! The building is quite new and since she's on higher ground, the added bonus are the impressive views of the docks and the river. The apartment is compact but cozy and impeccably (website hidden) was also very flexible with check in and check out, and was great at keeping contact with me during my visit. Would definitely recommend without hesitation!
Great location, fantastic view, nice shower, relaxed atmosphere, welcoming host. Thank you Joanne and Natalie!
Jo - was an amazing hostess! She is kind, generous, detailed specific- which is helpful when getting around - and definitely goes above and beyond. We had tickets for the Liverpool and Arsenal match and due to a late plane arrival we were going to have to take our bags to the game - but we caught a fast bus and Joanne met us at the bus stop and took our baggage to her apartment around the corner. While we were on the bus, we remembered she'd already given us a great cab company so we made a reservation and they met us at the bus stop. Thanks to Jo we had an amazing full game day! Their views and location are prime and daughter, Natalie is absolutely adorable and charming! We had a great time!
Joanne is a very very nice host, and provides me a very comfort and pleasant staying!
The location of the apartment is really good. The rooms are fantastic, just like pictures showed. My bedroom is very clean and tidy, very quiet during the night!
Hope to see u again Joanne! YNWA!
Joanne and Natalie were simply adorable! We got an early information about how to get to the apartment and info about the beautiful city. The location is perfect (Liverpool one/ Albert dock/ centre city).
Joanne greeted us with a warm hospitality and answered to all our questions.
The apartment is marvelously designed, very clean and well arraigned. The room was perfect, with big space shower, big closet, very comfortable bed and good view at the Albert dock and the "Echo wheel".
The price included a nice diverse breakfast.
Jo made us extremely welcome and was a wonderful host. The room was good too - it was perfectly located for seeing the sights with a great view over the docks. The bed was comfortable, and the shower a treat.
If we go back to Liverpool we'll be back. Thanks Jo
We stayed in Joanne's flat for a long weekend in Liverpool, the flat is at the heart of Liverpool, next to Albert Dock. All places of interest like Mersey Ferry station, Mathew Street, Museum of Liverpool and even the big Anglican Cathedral are in walking distances from the flat. Joanne is a great host, she does everything to make you feel home. The room is nicely decorated with a private bathroom and a nice view on Albert dock. Everything is available to have a quick breakfast in the morning, you can use the kitchen and the living-room if you like, we even had a dinner in front of TV to watch the highlights of the football games of the day :)
I recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy room for a short stay in Liverpool.
Jo is a great hostess, very kind and friendly. At our arrival she could not be there but she did all the arragements for us. In the morning we have to leave early and unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the breakfast with her due to our early flight.
The room has an excellent view of the Albert docks and a perfect central location. We couldn't ask for more.
Really good room with a magnificent view and a private bathroom. Joanne is very nice and a good helper. The location is no less than perfect. I can warmly recommend this room.
