Small charming house 100m away from the sea in a local community near Paraty (1h30 by boat). 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living and a generous porch with a great view. 1 double bed, 5 singles. Extra guest can camp just outside the house. Fun!
It's a small, rustic, but cute house, retreated from view but close to the beach. Access through a short and rustic trail.
2 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (only one has hot water), a large kitchen, small living, and a large porch. The bedrooms can fit 5 people, plus 2 on the living room, and we usually rent to 8-10 for those who want to camp outside on the lawn.
The kitchen is well-furnished, and includes a refrigerator (facility not many houses have in the area). All rooms have lamps and there is a set of plugs for charging cellphones, laptops, etc. No hair-driers, please.
The house is small, but the open space around it is huge. Right by its side you have mango trees, sugar cane, coconut trees and guava.
Rental price goes up during New Year's, January and Carnival, so please check beforehand. Weekly and monthly fees are negotiable and reduced, of course.
Seeing we are almost never there, usually the housekeeper will meet you at the beach and take you to the house. She can answer your questions (not in english, sorry), and will come by everyday to see if everything is okay. If you need anything or need any help, just talk to her (and send me an email!)
We don't provide linen, so please bring your own or let us know in advance and we'll arrange a price. The house keeper will come by after your stay to clean everything and make sure everything is in its right place.
It's quite possible we don't get to meet eachother. Even so, I'd love to receive pictures of your stay and comments about the place, the region, and how to improve the stay of our future guests. If we are there, you'll know really soon, and we can help you with whatever you need, including giving tips of where to go and what to do, etc.
This is a community inside a state park, with great nature, beautiful beaches and the only access is by boat. The only electricity is through generators or solar panels, and phone signal is hard to get. You can spend time tanning on the beach, hiking to nearby beaches or up the mountains, renting canoes or taking boat rides to beautiful places. For more general info, search Pouso da Cajaíba.
There are a few restaurants and even a small shop or two on the neighbouring beaches for tasty local food and emergency supplies. You must bring most of what you'll need from mainland.
In general, it's a place of adventure and simple pleasure. Bring bug repellents, sleeping bag, sunscreen, flashlight, a hat, and lots of disposition. Don't forget the Skymap app!
To arrive you must take a boat either on Paraty or Paraty-Mirim (you can get there by bus). If you need to, we can set the pick up with a local fisherman. In Paraty-Mirim there are lots of parking.
LOWERED! The period for Carnival costs around R$3100 for the whole week.
We had a simply wonderful stay here. I visited with my girlfriend and parents for a week and we fell in love with this relaxing getaway. It takes a litle more effort to get out here, but that was the point for us. In exchange we had a wonderful private spot with essentially our own private little beach. The house was great for us. It is simple, but in the right places. Clean, bathrooms and kitchen in good condition, simple furnishings but airy and full of windows with ocean views. We picke mangos and cocunuts and bought freah fish everydayfrom local fiaherman. The region has short and longer hiking trails to other beaches and water falls. Talita and her family were attentive an helpful always. We look forward to staying again in this little piece of heaven.
