Bright and cozy lower level suite with private entrance in a row house in the up and coming Trinidad neighborhood. Modern style, comfy vibe, and Traci's unique artistic style scattered about the place. Close to Union Market, H Street, 2 miles from the Capitol. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
*No dedicated parking with this unit but street parking is fine*
*Entrance is in the back of the house from alley access*
*When upstairs unit is rented you will hear footsteps from above, especially if children are present*
The details:
Our space is a newly renovated DC row house and for rent is our separate, fully finished basement suite. This is the lower unit of the house, and the upper two floors are rented completely separately. You can view our other available listings below:

This unit is about 500 sq ft, no kitchen but there's a mini fridge and microwave. There's a desk which can function as a place to work or a small table. Modern touches, comfy queen bed, private rear entrance. Street parking is available with close access to the unit.
This unit does not come with off street parking, as that is reserved for the upper unit. However, please feel free to inquire to the parking spot's availability during your stay.
The private entrance leads to the back alley. There's no way to get to the guest entrance other than walking through the alley from the street (not a long or scary walk). Please be mindful of this, as we don't want anyone to be uncomfortable walking down the alley at any time as part of their walk to and from the entrance.
We rent out the top floors of our house as a completely separate Airbnb unit. If the upstairs unit is occupied you will almost certainly hear people or even pets walking around on the floors above. It shouldn't be much of a disturbance but it is something to be aware of, as it is not completely soundproof between floors.
The front of our house (yellow door) is not an entrance to this unit. While this door has a keypad as well, it is only an entrance for the upper unit. Again please check out this listing so you are familiar with the options for our house.
The neighborhood is a typical urban gentrifying neighborhood, so it offers many amenities but has pockets that are not as developed. We have not had any issues with security for the entirety of our hosting career but the neighborhood does offer many flavors and can be off putting to some.
All that being said, we make every effort to make our guests' stay as great as possible this unit is a great option for tourists hoping to see DC sights on a budget!

Neighborhood highlights
Trinidad is an up and coming DC neighborhood, just north of Capitol Hill. Our place is close to H Street, Union market, Gallaudet University, NoMa, and Ivy City. Trinidad borders Capitol Hill and we are an easy 2 miles to the Supreme Court, Capitol Building, and the National Mall.
Our house is on a one-way street with low traffic, but there is always a nearby Uber driver.

My work: U.S. Navy Band
I spend too much time: Building and dreaming about cabins.
Jeffrey is a Chicago native (go Cubs!), and Traci is from CO and MN, but we have called DC home since 2015. Jeff is a musician with the United States Navy Band and Traci works at the Library of Congress. In our free time, you can us at a local coffee shop or running around with our dog.
We love traveling and sharing our space and city with you.
