Situated in the beautiful Rivelin valley on the edge of the vibrant city of Sheffield, a one bedroom garden flat sleeping 2+2.
More than 2 guests? Only £10 extra pp per night.
Spacious lounge ( with double bed settee ) / dining area, fully equipped kitchen, conservatory and bedroom with twin beds.
Guests have a private flat with separate access situated under owner's house. They will enjoy a beautiful outlook and shared garden. Has many features which may help disabled guests. Price remains the same throughout the year. If a one night booking you will be expected to make up your own beds with linen provided.
Ideally situated for easy access either by car or public transport to the city centre, beautiful local walks and the nearby Peak District. Situated on the bank above the River Rivelin. Large well kept patio and garden. Space to store bikes, kayaks etc. Sloped drive with handrail to walk down to the flat.
If arriving by tram from the railway station I will try to meet people at the tram stop to bring them to the flat. Usually it will be either myself or a representative who will meet and greet, show the flat and run through the information folder. After that depending on the length of stay I may call in person once to check everything ok. Other than that I leave my guests to enjoy their stay in peace and quiet, but am more than happy to have a chat or answer questions as they arise.
There is a handy cafe a 10 minute walk along the valley which is open everyday of the year alongside a play park.
The flat is excellently placed for access to public transport. The bus and tram stop for the city centre is a 3 and 7 minute walk respectively. There are also local buses which run to the surrounding villages. Cars can be parked on the road outside the property or parked on the sloped drive leading to the flat.
My mother- and sister-in-law stayed here and were very happy. Here's what they had to say:
This accommodation was just right for a short stay in Sheffield. We had a friendly greeting from the owners of the apartment and fresh orange juice and croissants were left for our first morning stay. The bathroom and kitchen were clean and practical. Just a pity we couldn't use the terrace garden due to the cold, winter chill.
We spent two nights in Sue's flat with our six months old son. The flat was well suited to our needs, the living and dining room area is very spacious, the garden is lovely, and the kitchen is really well equipped. Sue was very friendly, responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend it as a place to stay - we will no doubt be back.
Really lovely flat: it is even better than in the pictures. It is a cozy home, instead of rental flat!
This flat is in a quiet area, with easy access to the center (which means that finding a parking spot was easy!) and Sue was extremely kind and honest.
Definitively recommended: I hope to be back next year!!!
Our stay was really magnificent. The indoor furnishing of the garden-flat is very lovely. It is very silent, there were no traffic noise. Thanks a lot Sue!
I stayed here with a fellow student while on a 5 week placement, working in various clinics and hospitals in Sheffield.
This flat was perfect for our need, it was a comfortable and pleasant place to return to after a long shift. The location was perfect for us as it's nice and central, with everything we need just being a short drive away, for those without a car the tram service is brilliant, and busses run on a regular basis. Overall this was perfect accommodation for our need, I would recommend this for any students needing longer term accommodation, who prefer a bit of comfort compared to some typical 'student digs'
If I found myself in this neck of the woods again, I would defiantly return.
A great, good-sized flat with loads of lovely touches. Sue was really accommodating to our specific needs - and there were Christmas decorations up & a tree as well! Very homely and welcoming. Thank you!
The flat was absolutely perfect, really cosy and comfortable; and full of thoughtful and homely touches. We even had a Christmas tree! It was ideal for our needs, and we were really impressed with our friendly welcome and introduction. Nothing was too much trouble and Sue was fantastic at responding to our queries before booking.
A fantastic stay which truly felt like a home from home. I'd love to return for longer next time!
A very pleasant stay. Lots of space, good facilities and very good value. Close to a tram stop so you can get into the city centre in about 25 mins. Would use again.
Sue provided lovely accommodation for our short stay and was very welcoming.
Thank you Sue for being amazingly hospitable and making it easy and a pleasure to visit Sheffield!
Let me join in the choir of singing Sue's praises! She is a delightful and thoughtful host, genuinely interested in her guests' welfare. The apartment is located in a lovely, safe neighborhood. The view is beautiful. Next time we visit, we will enjoy the charming garden and patio. The apartment is spotless and was decorated for Christmas. Sue had the refrigerator and cabinets stocked with just what we wanted for our breakfast. We were so fortunate to find such a hospitable host and charming apartment in Sheffield. Enjoy a wonderful stay in Sheffield without a single hesitation!
