Interaction with Guests
If arriving by tram from the railway station I will try to meet people at the tram stop to bring them to the flat. Usually it will be either myself or a representative who will meet and greet, show the flat and run through the information folder. After that depending on the length of stay I may call in person once to check everything ok. Other than that I leave my guests to enjoy their stay in peace and quiet, but am more than happy to have a chat or answer questions as they arise.
There is a handy cafe a 10 minute walk along the valley which is open everyday of the year alongside a play park.
The flat is excellently placed for access to public transport. The bus and tram stop for the city centre is a 3 and 7 minute walk respectively. There are also local buses which run to the surrounding villages. Cars can be parked on the road outside the property or parked on the sloped drive leading to the flat.
Please don't ask for more than 4 people to stay as refusal may offend.
Please turn the radiators off if you go out for any length of time.
Please put only what nature intended and loo paper down the toilet!
Otherwise please just treat the flat with respect and have a good time.
I had a great stay at Sue's property. It was very clean and roomy. The thing I really love is the garden. When I went out of the flat, I could hear the sound of river which situated just in front of the flat which is lovely. I would definitely stay here again if I travel to Sheffield in future.
We had a lovely stay at Sue's. The flat is quite big, it's clean and warm. There's a lovely garden as well. It's close to the bus stop to go to the cite centre which is very convenaient. Sue made us feel at home, she's a very thoughtful host. I'll definitely stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sue's flat. The place was beautiful, with magnificent view and lovely sounds of the stream below in the valley. Sue even provided us with breakfast during our stay there. A true English hospitality. We would really love to visit again, perhaps in spring next time.
Had a great stay in Sheffield, Sue has a fantastic property that I am sure we will use again. Thankyou Sue.
We loved Sue's cozy garden flat. The kitchen is well equipped, the couches are very comfortable, and the decor is lovely. Sue even gave us a lift to the train station early morning on a Saturday. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Another lovely break in Sue's spacious flat. All the Christmas decorations were so thoughtful, and I was able to have my wheelchair-bound grandmother over for lunch with no problems. Quiet area with the river rushing past at the bottom of the garden... thank you sue and family for being so accommodating and welcoming!
I can only review my comms with Sue as I was not well over new year and had to cancel. Sue had responded to my last minute enquiry despite it being Christmas. I had wanted a quite New Year with mu partner and best friend. This place offered what look like from the pictures a luxurious lounging space with sufficient sleeping arrangement. I hope I can write a review next time about my experience. Thanks again Sue for being so understanding.
Teacher and resident of Sheffield for 22 years. Live with my daughter in the house above the flat. My son and partner live down the road. Chances are you will be greeted by a member of the family! Keen gardener, hill walker (so live in the right place - the city built on seven hills!), would be kayaker, enjoy swimming - outdoors preferably. Have airbnb'd the flat since Sep 13 and have enjoyed every moment of it.
