And something you may have heard from your childhood , " Turn off the Lights"
Holly and Brian were very welcoming and kind. They recommended a top-tier restaurant, Keei Cafe that we hadn't heard of in spite of extensive research and two previous trips. They like to watch the big TV in their outdoor living room with guests, and make very good conversation.
As repeat Kona Coast visitors, their house is the best location we've seen. Driving around the area is time-consuming, so this was extremely helpful. It's very close to Kealakekua, the City of Refuge, and restaurants in Captain Cook - and only five minutes from The Coffee Shack, where it's very challenging to get a table at breakfast.
We'll definitely try to stay here again, in any room we can get, but we'd try a different room if available. The Dolphin Room is right by the front door, which makes it easy to get in and out but also means everyone else has to walk by the sliding door.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Brian and Holly's beautiful guest house. We arrived in time to see a beautiful sunset from the porch and then had a delicious dinner at a restaurant Brian recommended. We were very comfortable in our room and really enjoyed the amazing views from the house. We left too early to make use of the snorkel gear, beach chairs, cooler, etc. but if we had stayed for longer we definitely would have done so. Terrific hosts, beautiful property - highly recommended!
Brian and Holly are great hosts. Very roomy house with a beautiful lanai and tiki bar. Breakfast was a nice addition. Avocados everywhere!
Just be aware that tax is not included in the search price. 13%
Brian and Holly run one fine BnB. Everything you need for Kona Coasting. Kona sunrise, Kona, coffee, Kona breakfast, Kona beach toys, Kona beaches, Kona Tiki bar, Kona sunset. Rinse, lather, repeat. Staying with Brian and Holly is just like snorkeling with the manta rays...you just hold on and they do all the work. Most highly recommended for all Packer-tolerant vacationers.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Aloha and Mahalo Holly and all the furry four leggeds for welcoming us to the Tika Wa Guest House with open arms and so much love! My husband and I had such a relaxing and restful time there we decided to stay two nights instead of one. We were greeted each morning with fresh coffee and home made pastries and fresh fruit from their farm. There were boogie boards, towels and snorkel gear for us to use for swimming at nearby beaches. The house was clean and welcoming with lots of different cozy spaces to relax after an enjoyable day on the Island. We did our laundry - which helped after a few days of traveling - and - Holly healed my bee sting! We had the best time here and it was all because we were made to feel right at home from the moment we arrived and then we were given the space and place to relax and rest while being filled up with the Aloha spirit from Holly, Tika Wa, the land and Hawaii. We would recommend this guest House to everyone! Mahalo nui loa Holly et al.
