The Space

We are a 60 acre farm with rolling pasture lands, coffee and fruit plantations, a river with three waterfalls and three huge swimming holes. Complete with patio, bar, wifi and swimming pool. Each cabin faces away from the other and are strategically located for views and privacy. The farm is located next to the largest international park in Central America. Located up in the clouds, yet sunny and warm with cool breezes. The temperatures and weather are much BETTER than at the beaches. No crowded tourism and all the fringe that goes with the tourism crowd. We are in a pristine part of the country and of the world, in a very unique setting! Many rent a cabin to write, create, relax, find adventure, vacation or to contemplate a move to CR.

Guest Access

Guests have access to their cabin, the pool, bar and patio area, river, pastures, coffee fields, internet, cable TV.

Interaction with Guests

We give tours on the farm for our guests and if a guest is traveling alone, we eat meals with our guest if the individual guest is not cooking in the cabin for themselves.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood we live in is an agrarian society filled with farms and a very rural setting. The backdrop is the Talamanca mountain range which is home to the La Amistad International Park, the largest park in Central America and a world heritage site. The park holds more biodiversity than any other park in Costa Rica and at least 5% of the world's biodiversity is in the La Amistad International Park. A cloud and rainforest at a higher altitude such as La Amistad is a unique setting and quite different than most lower altitude tropical rainforests.

Getting Around

To get to the farm there options to use public bus transportation, rent a 4x4 car or hire a private driver. We can help you to arrange transportation. There is parking on the premises and near the cabins.

Other Things to Note

Be sure to bring, rain gear, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, rain-gear, hiking boots, benadryl spray and capsules for allergic reactions from bug bites and other First Aid travel kit supplies.
