We are located in the middle of La Mariscal zone, where you will find, restaurants, coffee shops, and businesses of all sorts for all your basic needs and entertainment. Within 30 minutes walk from of our home you can reach the old city, museums, parks, shopping, and much more!
Key bus lines cross by our house!
We were greeted with smiles and picked up at the airport promptly (for Ecuador). Gerado and Irene are very professional and respectful! They showed us our room and had the WiFi password ready to go. They also were very helpful with providing us with information about the area. The room was clean. (we loved that it was cleaned daily!) Breakfast was light but was always ready at 8:30 am. The breakfast area allowed us to meet fellow travelers as well. The location is three blocks from the Mariscal Square which is full of restaurants, night clubs, and hostels. Given the prime location, we slept through the night with ease! We highly recommend this wonderful accommodation!
Hospitality, Great.they offered good advice to navigate around the city. They offered decent prices on cab service to the airport.Prompt breakfast service, and very clean, all (website hidden) problem was the hotel it self, the (email hidden)per loud. Its on a main road with buses and cars, that literally rattle the Whole building. The area is littered with police, because of the allied tradespeople .I couldn't get much rest with my room shaking and my bed bouncing, for a convention in town.
If you don't mind loud talk inside or outside, this place is for you.
I like to thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We appreciate very much your nice words about our B&B and services.
The hotel is situated in the tourist area of the city with most of the hotels, restaurants, bars and discotheques. Unfortunately the presence of a lot of tourists and youngsters attracts also more shady people. The good news it that the neighbourhood started working together with the police to make the place as safe as possible.
About the house, we are at the corner of two streets, you can here and sometimes feel the buses but we think is a little bit out of context put you felt "your room shaking and your bed bouncing", if things were as you say, the house would have fallen long ago ... :)
When you want to be right in the heart of the city you must know this could be a little bit noisy.
Also, after all the "problems" you decided to extend your staying here at home...
Looking forward to have you with us soon again.
Irene & Gerardo.
Had a great couple of days with Gerardo and Irene. They were very helpful and pointed us in lots of different directions to go explore Quito.
Also their B&B is located right in a the heart of an awesome neighborhood with lots of shops, outfitters, restaurants and discotecas.
I look forward to staying there again when I return to Quito in the future.
I stayed here for three nights and it was a very pleasant experience. Irene and Gerrardo are very pleasant and professional. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Highly recommended, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. There is also a taxi driver named Carlos Ortiz who stations himself out front. I used him exclusively - look for him, he's very pleasant and trustworthy.
gerardo & irene were very welcoming and helpful. it was a lovely place to stay for a few nights in Quito.
I had a nice stay with Gerardo and Irene. They had family in, and Gerardo was recovering from an illness, so I didn't get to visit with them as much as some other reviewers. What conversation I had with Gerardo, he seemed nice and sincere. The room was spacious, simple and clean. The bathrooms are shared, but kept clean by the housekeeper, who is a lovely lady, always with a smile and quick to accommodate. The room is a great value in the heart of Mariscal, as another guest noted, with all the plusses and minuses that entails. Close to tons of restaurants and bars, laundries, and the trolley line to Old Town, but with the noise that comes from such a lively location. On the two weeknights I was there, noise toned down by 11-11:30, so no problems, but on Friday night things were cranking until 3:30 a.m., so either go out and join the party, or request an interior room for the weekend. Gracias, Gerardo y Irene!
Our windows have double window in order to avoid the noise and all the guest can note that, despite all the nights with "extrem noise" you booked 1 extra night and you seemed very happy at the house. We were all the nights there but you were at your room so we couldnt talk with you.
Irene & Gerardo.
This is such a great place to stay in Quito! Gerardo and Irene are super nice, easy going and VERY helpful!! The rooms are spacious, clean and have good beds; the breakfast is really good, too. Furthermore, the location near Plaza Foch is just great. We will come back for sure!
