This was a perfect place to stay with our extended family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The home is in a lovely area and is nicely decorated and floor plan is perfect- as the master bedroom is in the back on the house.
Kates house is absolutely perfect! It is in a super charming and cute neighborhood of Austin. Very nicely renovated as shown in pictures. Make sure you have a car or Uber to get around. Also bring soap and shampoo as none is provided. Overall a great place to stay.
Kate was very responsive and worked with me a little on price given it was a longer rental (10 days) over F1.
The house is great: clearly just a rental property, so there are no personal belongings anywhere, empty closets, lots of space, and decorated with clean, simple furniture. Plenty of towels, awesome walk-in rain shower in the master, and huge walk-in closet.
Great deck space and huge back yard with BBQ though did not get a chance to use it.
The master bedroom needs proper shades / blinds; there were only some paper ones on the French doors and I had to request extra for the smaller windows, which arrived the very next day. Still, very bright in the mornings!
The listing included mention of 'amenities' (eg hairdryer) and there wasn't one. Again, this was delivered right away on the first day.
The house is well-appointed with Viking stove etc but there were no basic supplies - salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, spices, no tissues in the bathrooms, only a couple of spare garbage bags, etc - which I would suggest are normal for a house rental.
The neighborhood is lovely and quiet; 4 minutes walking to 24-hour diner Magnolia cafe, and the awesome Juiceland for fresh juices / healthy eats. And the Zilker Park walking / running trail starts right there, too.
Definitely need a car / taxi / uber for getting into town but it's very convenient / close.
Beautiful spot, strong location, excellent accommodations! Overall, it was a great stay. I'd come back again.
Very nice house in a great location (one of the most desired neighborhoods in Austin). The house looks exactly like the photos and is only a 15-20 minute walk to the river and Zilker park. I stayed here with some other friends for ACL. It is about 5-10 minute car ride to the bars and restaurants. The house is tucked further back from the Main Street so it is quiet at night. Highly recommended for a weekend stay. Just FYI that the house is not stocked with many amenities like towels, shampoo, toilet paper, etc so just remember to bring those or stop by a store.
Kate's bungalow was adorable and well maintained. The location was very centrally located and in a nice neighborhood. We would absolutely suggest this home to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while in Austin.
