Interaction with Guests
There is always someone available - a telephone call away - to deal with queries.
Rosebank is a vibrant neighborhood, at once established and trendy. It is centrally located between Jo'burg CBD and Sandton, it is hard to beat for convenience. It is a pleasure to walk to shops, cinemas, restaurants and the airport is just a train ride away. For more Rosebank info, see: (website hidden)
My apartment is close to major bus routes, the train, and there are always meter taxis nearby. For those guests with their own car, there is a dedicated basement parking bay in the building. I can also recommend a car service on request.
I absolutely love this apartment. My stay was for seven months (June-December 2014), and enjoyed every aspect of this place- the location is perfect (convenient to the Gautrain if you, like me, need to work in Pretoria), it's safe (the guards are kind and helpful), and the apartment itself is stunningly designed.
Everything is of beautiful quality- the dish ware, the linens, the bedding, etc. For someone who is a bit nuts about design (especially mid-century modern), I couldn't be happier. Really, I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed living here.
Coordinating with Graeme was not a problem despite his being out of the country, and there was always someone to reach in case of an issue. I'm particularly grateful that Graeme allowed me to extend my stay as my work schedule changed. I hope to be able to stay here again soon!
The apartment is beautiful. Fantastic location and beautifully furnished. But a couple of downsides: unfortunately the arrangements for pick up of the keys didn't work out and I was left waiting for a long time. And for those sensitive to noise, the bedroom is above a busy street and it is pretty loud.
Graeme was super helpful and communicative. In the end I did not stay at his place as my conference organisers booked a hotel for me. Next time Graeme!
About the Host, Graeme
Hi, my name is Graeme and I live and work in New York City and Johannesburg. NYC mostly, Johannesburg sometimes. I also travel a lot for work and leisure. Through airb&b I am generally looking for a home away from home, something simple and tasteful and preferably near the center of things. I am quiet, neat, responsible - basically everything you would want from a tenant. I am also a private person, so privacy is important to me. Friendly but not gregarious.
