Private cottage located behind the main house at the Hostel in Historic West Asheville.
Cottage has full size bed, private kitchen and bathroom. A twin cot can be added to accommodate a third guest for an extra $12/night. Please note that the cottage is not big, and adding a third person is doable, but gets crowded.
Dogs are welcome for an extra $12/dog/night.
To add a third person, or a dog please let us know in advance when booking. You can pay the added fee when you arrive.
Guests get full access to the hostel: hot tub, garden, book exchange, common areas with cool international travelers and all the cool restaurants, pubs and cafe's that West Asheville has within walking distance!
The cottage was lovely. I had a great night's sleep there. I would certainly recommend staying there to anyone! It's in a fabulous location.
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in the cottage behind the hostel and it was a cozy spot that offered privacy and simplicity. Just enough space for two, the cottage was clean, comfortable--though the mattress leaves something to be desired--and in a great location. Since we didn't stay long enough or really plan on cooking--though we could have since the kitchen has a small fridge, stove, cabinets, and a microwave--we enjoyed strolling down the main drag and delighting in all of the yummy food West Asheville restaurants have to offer. We rented a car, which I would recommend if you plan on taking advantage of the beautiful hiking in the area, and checked out downtown Asheville as well as Blue Ridge Parkway. I really like the area and the hostel cottage was a fine base of operations for this first trip, which was short but sweet.
The cottage was well-built, nicely decorated, clean, and really cute! Very nice people, personable, and dog-friendly.Great location: we had brought our dog, and were able to take her everywhere we went in that area; restaurants, ice cream, park. The hot tub is only open when their office is open, so keep that in mind. Bring your own toiletries for the shower.
The mattress is terrible for anyone with back pain issues. Really soft and marshmallow-like. This is the only reason we wouldn't come back. No AC, so it can get warm, a little noisy, and a little bright at night. The box fan helps, but it's pretty loud.
Perfect, simple spot for me, boyfriend, and our 80-lb mutt. Clean and everything we needed in Asheville. Loved the hammock swing.
Our stay in the Cottage at BonPaul was fantastic. It's a perfect/cheap/comfortable location to experience Asheville and the surrounding area. Definitely recommended!
Wonderful little cottage in West Asheville. Cozy and clean AND they allowed our furry family member to stay with us. Couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be back!
My partner Cecily and I had a wonderful time at the BonPaul + Sharky's cottage! Everything was as romantic and cozy as we had hoped, which was especially awesome due to the unseasonably cool weather we experienced during our visit. West Asheville is a really hip neighborhood and walking along Haywood Rd. towards downtown was a highlight of our trip; there were plenty of cool shops and eateries to enjoy along the way. If we make our way down to Asheville again we will be staying here again for sure!
Great location, staff was friendly, perfect for our weekend vacation! I would stay there again for sure.
We stayed in the cabin, and it was cozy, well appointed, and inspiring - we want to build one now! Also, the staff is welcoming and friendly, and the location on Haywood is perfect for exploring - get on your bike and see where the day takes you! Thanks for having us!
What a cool spot! The cabin was roomy and comfy and so close to the happenings of West Asheville. I could walk from the cabin to restaurants, coffee, and market. Highly recommend this great spot!
