Fantastic room with a view, lakeside, inside a gated community. 20 min west of the beach, near shops, City Place, clubs, bars, restaurants. Free guest parking available for one car, beach gear available (chairs, umbrellas). Perfect get away spot.
This is a lovely space. It gets plenty of sun in the mornings, and you can watch spectacular sunrises. Take a chair outside and have breakfast there.
The bed is a twin size daybed with a real mattress.
You will have access to all the common areas of the house: kitchen, and all its amenities, dining room, bathroom with shower and hot water, living room with books, TV, cable. Also, access to Hi-speed Wi-Fi Internet. This is a villa, therefore there are no stairs.
You can go for walks or have a picnic by one of the lakes. Access to condo pool and gym (as my guest). All I ask is please be mature as you move about the space in the community, using the pool, gym, walking paths, etc.
Be respectful of the birds that visit the lake and the surroundings. And yes, you'll want to take tons of pictures. Make sure to bring your sandals and favorite walking shoes.
This is a personal get away spot. It is quite private and quiet. If you're here to party, this is not the space you're looking for.
This is a great place to get away from the city craziness, from the rat-race and re-energize. If you enjoy being near nature and the water, bring a great book or work on your next piece of writing, or other creative endeavor. This will be the spot for inspiration.
If you're a working professional, this is ideal for you, to start and end your day.
At this household, we each do our own thing. We're all completely independent of each other, therefore, once you get your house key, and we go over the general layout of the land, you can come and go on your own. One important item: from the time you check in, until the time you check out, you're fully responsible for the house keys and any replacement costs.
My mom, who recently retired and travels often, also has a private room in the house, all the way in the front. You may see her at times, or you may not, depending on her schedule.
Interaction with Guests
I am often in and out of the house, running errands, and out on meetings, or at the beach. You will have free access once you get your guest keys.
I have set up maps, a book of guidelines for the house, the area and the city and menus to help you remain as independent as possible during your stay here. There is a lot to do and see in these parts of Florida, therefore I can only hope you will maximize your time here to enjoy the lovely environment.
We may see each other, or not, depending on our schedules. However, I am available, either in person or over the phone or text, to answer any questions or assist you with any information.
This is a quiet, pleasant, gated community, with many retirees. It has a club house, tennis courts, gym and pool. It has private entrance and all guests need to be registered, with ID.
As with most locations in Florida, make sure to have a car. It's the most optimal form of transportation. That's why we offer a free guest parking spot. The West Palm Beach airport (PBI) is fifteen minutes east from the community, by car.
Aside from that, there is taxi service in West Palm Beach, which often comes to pick up and drop off people in the community. Average price between the airport and the community is $25, or if you take the taxi shuttle from the airport, the average charge is $15 for the first person, and about half for each additional person.
Other Things to Note
Some of our first guests have mentioned breakfast in their reviews. They are referring to our introductory promotion, which ran thru the end of 2013, when we offered full breakfast for the first guests who booked.
Even though that promotion ended, we normally have coffee, tea, water, and fruit available to all our guests, to start their day and not leave the house with an empty stomach. :)
If you need any clarification, don't hesitate to email me.
We expect our guests to be mature in behavior. Please no loud noises. This is a quiet retirement community, perfect spot to get away from it all, not a party spot. It is an hour north of Miami, half hour north of Fort Lauderdale, 20 minutes from the nearest beach. No smoking please. No children under 16. No pets allowed.
I had a fantastic stay with Maria and her mother. I spent a four day weekend in WPB after attending a computer conference in Palm Beach Gardens. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I added 3 extra breakfasts to my stay that were prepared by Maria's mom. My room was clean; and met my needs. I enjoyed visiting with Maria for about an hour each morning.
I went to the beach; and Maria provided me with a beach umbrella and beach bag. I'll stay here again when visiting West Palm beach.
My experience with Maria and her mom was wonderful. In fact I'm coming back again next month. They are great hosts. Maria and I even bonded by watching game of thrones together :) The room was really clean and the view is beautiful! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Maria was a wonderful host, I felt great from the moment I walked through the door, the place was clean and super organized, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. There's a gorgeous view in the room, amazing river and surrounded of green areas. I really like staying there and I will definitely come back if possible.
Maria was very friendly and helpful. . Her home was beautiful! Will definitely stay again! Thanks again Maria y tu Mama
Nothing says "clean" better than bright white towels and sheets. These greeted me in this clean and basic space. Maria and her Mom were a delight to talk to, yet they were almost invisible while I was there. They had a coffee machine for guests and offered a variety of teas to choose from for breakfast. This was my first airBNB experience. Thanks to the pleasant experience, I am an airBNB fan!
Maria was responsive and friendly. As a host, she seems to think of everything. The room is as described and fit my needs just fine ... I had a short stay this time, but did enjoy a late evening walk in their community- a very safe and quiet place, indeed.
We fully enjoyed staying with Maria and her mother. The stay was very calm, the room and home were both very well kept, all items were easily accessible, and we felt at home. There were never any major issues or concerns. Thanks to Maria and this stay I feel confident in utilizing AIRbnb in the future. Thank you so much for welcoming us and allowing us to have such a good experience.

As a guest, I believe in leaving a place as great or better than I found it. If I can help my host/hostess with anything in the place, I communicate it to them. As a guest, and hostess, I believe in communication, the importance of manners, of respect for boundaries and privacy of those I share space with. My best hosts and guests have been the most respectful and mindful people and I am so appreciative of them.
Additionally, I've learned thru my travels that we all have different styles and differences, and everyone lives a different world and abides by their own set of perceptions. Therefore, being open to those who are, or think differently than me, I find to be one of the most enriching experiences here in AirBnB.
