About this listing
Beautiful room with water view, in gated community. 20 min west of the beach, shops, City Place, clubs, bars, restaurants. Free guest parking. Perfect spot for professionals, busy executives. Relax in a quiet, private room and start, or end, your day with a spectacular view of mother nature: water, birds, sunrise and sunsets.
The space gets plenty of sun in the mornings. It has large windows where you can watch spectacular sunrises.
The bed is a twin size daybed with a real mattress.
You will have access to dining room, bathroom with shower and hot water, living room with books, TV, cable. Also, access to Hi-speed Wi-Fi Internet. This is a villa, therefore there are no stairs.
You can go for walks and enjoy the spectacular view of the lakes. All I ask is please be mature as you move about the space in the community.
Be respectful of the birds that visit the lake and the surroundings. And yes, you'll want to take tons of pictures. Make sure to bring your sandals and favorite walking shoes.
This is a personal get away spot. It is private and quiet. If you're here to party, this is not the space you're looking for.
This is a great place to get away from the city craziness, from the rat-race and re-energize.
At this household, we each do our own thing. We're all completely independent of each other, therefore, once you get your house key, and we go over the general layout of the land, you can come and go on your own.
My mom, who recently retired and travels often, also has a private room in the house, all the way in the front. You may see her at times, or you may not, depending on her schedule.
Interaction with guests
I am often in and out of the house, running errands, out on meetings, or at the beach. You will have free access once you get your guest keys.
I have set up maps, a book of guidelines for the house, the area and the city and menus to help you remain as independent as possible during your stay here. There is a lot to do and see in these parts of Florida, therefore I can only hope you will maximize your time here to enjoy the lovely environment.
We may see each other, or not, depending on our schedules. However, I am available, either in person or over the phone or text, to answer any questions or assist you with any information.
Other things to note
We normally have coffee, tea, water, and fruit available to all our guests, to start their day and not leave the house with an empty stomach. :)
If you need any clarification, don't hesitate to reach me.
We expect our guests to be mature in behavior. This is a quiet retirement community, perfect spot to get away from it all, not a party spot. It is an hour north of Miami, half hour north of Fort Lauderdale, 20 minutes from the nearest beach. No smoking please. No children under 16. No pets allowed.
To our new AirBnB guests, please keep in mind AirBnB is not a hotel, therefore an introductory note to your host or hostess, about who you are, is a smart option, especially because you're looking to book a room in a someone's home. Just a tip that will likely get you more booking approvals.
Remember, AirBnB is a community of people who share their home space with others, and not a hotel chain. It's all about "staying in someone's home." The most successful AirBnBers are those who operate with that mindset.
We look forward to welcoming you to our homes and community.

New Yorker, recent transplant to West Palm Beach. Techie. Fiercely independent. Healthy living. No smoking. No drinking. Avoid meats. Love Japanese, Greek, Italian food, as well as museums, arts, parks, the beach and a good game of racquetball. Jazz, classical & dance music make my day. Best trips: African Safari, Galapagos, Paris & Sailing the British Virgin Islands.
As a guest, I believe in leaving a place as great or better than I found it. If I can help my host/hostess with anything in the place, I communicate it to them. As a guest, and hostess, I believe in communication, the importance of manners, of respect for boundaries and privacy of those I share space with. My best hosts and guests have been the most respectful and mindful people and I am so appreciative of them.
Additionally, I've learned thru my travels that we all have different styles and differences, and everyone lives a different world and abides by their own set of perceptions. Therefore, being open to those who are, or think differently than me, I find to be one of the most enriching experiences here in AirBnB.
