Description

The Space

Clean, neat and private, 124 square feet. My Guest Room and bath are located in the north end of the house. The room was recently repainted and the linens replaced with new Comphy Company sheets and pillow cases. There is access to a small deck and the back yard. If your car is electric you can charge it here.

Guest parking is in front of the residence on a paved apron or gravel turnout. The home is raised above grade and there are three steps up to the front porch. Guests are welcome to enjoy the living room, outside patios, deck and yard areas. Abundant wildlife including deer, turkey, fox, raccoon, and opossum frequent this area of oak woodland. Lavender is grown on the farm in the south meadow.

I don't plan to interact with guests that much, however, I can recommend local wineries, restaurants, activities, and road rides in the local hills.

Atascadero is exactly half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles on Highway 101. My home is quiet, close to major roads, sited in a place with beautiful trees and rolling hills. Many things to do... Locally: Atascadero Lake Park, Charles Paddock Zoo, Faces of Freedom Veterans Memorial, Colony Park, Heilmann Park, Stadium Park, Paloma Creek Park, Caulk Mountain Golf Course.
North: Paso Robles area for wine tasting. Ian's Restaurant in Templeton for fine dining.
East: Creston and Shandon wine tasting, Creston Rodeo, The Loading Shoot restaurant in Creston.
South: Santa Margarita Ranch for zip line and off road fun. The Range Restaurant for fine dining. San Luis Obispo for dining, shopping, and fun. Avila for a great beach for swimming and sun. Pismo Beach and Oceano Dunes for sand play.
West: Highway 1. Morro Bay for Pacific Ocean beaches and great seafood.

Public transit is along El Camino Real. The closest bus stop is at the in front of the Post Office.

No Smoking in house.

I'm a road and MTB cyclist and can be convinced to show off our local rides and MTB trails. I have a shop here for minor repairs and tube replacement.
I have Friends who are available to drive you to the wineries you want to visit and taste. Let us know if tasting is part of your plans.
