It's totally relaxing.
Bus stop outside apartment or car hire available.
Fethiye is a working town, shops are open all year round.
The Bay area is good for restaurants and shopping. You can walk into town or take the bus, only a few minutes.
Oludinez is one of the best beaches in Turkey and only a five minute drive away. If it's too busy in peak season, try Kidrak Beach, just 2 miles further around the cliff road from Oludinez Beach. Kidrak beach It's secluded and quiet all year round.
Try paragliding, its fun and exhilarating, you can book it most places.
The cliff roads in Oludinez are good for exploring, you can drive hours along them and enjoy the views. Babadag Mountain is 2km high, you can drive right to the top (road is behind Ovacik) and watch the paragliders taking off but watch out for the tortoises, we often see them crossing the mountain roads, in the late afternoon/evening.
The 12 island boat trips are good or you can charter your own boat for a reasonable price. There are lots of activities if you want them, or you can simply relax around the pool at the apartment, or why not walk up to ancient the cliff caves and carvings in Fethiye.
If you fancy travelling out a bit further. Pamukale is worth a day trip to see.
We stayed at Colin's apartment for 2 weeks in March and can definitely recommend it. It is a huge place, offering ample space for a family of 4, and the views are just amazing. The air conditioning works well in all rooms (we had to heat the place up on a few evenings), as did all the other appliances (dishwasher, washing machine). The apartment is very quiet, and yet, by car (or dolmus), you can easily reach Fethiye (there is one small store with all the basics, e.g. fresh bred in the morning, in the neighborhood). The location is also great for reaching Ölüdeniz beach.
Excellent apartment furnished to a high standard. Air-conditioning units in the living room and bedrooms work well. Only used them on the first night to cool the main bedroom. Patio doors in the living room and the main bedroom provide plenty of ventilation. Fantastic views from the balconies on each level over the town of Fethiye, the bay and to the mountains beyond.
The road is steep up to the apartment but regular and cheap buses to and from Fethiye drop you off close by. Good exercise if you want to work off the excesses of food and drink! We went exploring up in the hills behind the apartment for more dramatic views over Fethiye bay.
There are some apartments on the complex in the process of being finished but the building work is never intrusive. Some apartments on the complex are occupied by Turkish families so it's not a soulless holiday complex.
There's a shop down the hill near the small bus depot which is open late and stocks all the basics. Plenty of good and cheap restaurants in Fethiye. Recommend the restaurants around the fish market for fresh sea food you pick from the market stalls.
We did the 4 island boat trip from Fethiye with Kardesler. Excellent value for 40TL each for a trip from 10.30am to 6.30pm with barbecue lunch included. Got to swim in the sea at each island when the boat moored. You can buy beer and drinks.
Great location from which to visit Oludeniz. Just flag down one of the regular buses from Fethiye. See the Paragliders take off from Bagadad mountain and land on the beach.
A beautiful apartment with amazing views over Fethiye. Wonderful modern furnishings and the beds were comfortable. It is in a new area of town but easy to get into town or to Oludeniz with the Dolmus or by car. There is plenty of parking space and the pool area was great. The only thing we missed was an internet connection. We had a good stay at Collin's place.
