It is 5 blocks from the 6 train and 1 block to the M15 bus.
Accross the street there is the Jefferson Park which as a running and workout area. There is an accessible public pool (closed during winter season).
The food places are ecclectic : french bakery, Indian restaurant, mexican restaurant, japanese restaurant, american restaurant, a gluten free place for breakfast (Aroma), starbucks, Love café (strongly recommended :-) )....
There is a shopping area within 2 minutes walking distance ( ie target, marshall's, cost-co, old navy,...)
There are also some interesting bars. From dive to fancy...
My street is very quiet and has its community. On Friday evening, people bring a chair and talk on the side walk.
The 6 train is 5 blocks away and put Union Square at 20 minutes.
M15 bus is 1 block away.
From JFK :
- Cab : around 65 dollars
- Subway : Airtrain to Jamaica, E train towards Manhattan (Stop at 51th Station) and 6 train towards Uptown (Stop at 116th Station)
- Car : there is lots of street parking in the street
From La Guardia :

Other Things to Note
The street has 2 community gardens which are open during the day.
Baptiste is a very good person to rent from. He's friendly, courteous, and helpful in getting around the area. I would highly recommend his service. Thanks Baptiste!
We had a great stay with Baptiste! The apartment is very clean and even nicer than the pictures! We felt safe all the time in the neighborhood, and Love Café around the corner is a very nice place to start the day with a great breakfast!! We can definitely recommend this place!
Très bon accueil de la part de Baptiste, la chambre est propre et calme, j'y reviendrai avec plaisir!
I stayed with Baptiste for 2 weeks and I honestly could not have been happier. Staying at his place was my first airbnb experience and first time in New York. He definitely set the standards really high. He was unbelievably kind, friendly, easy to talk to and extremely hospitable. The location was perfect!! Not far from the subway to go downtown, and right around the corner from great restaurants, Target, Costco, Marshalls etc. The room was very cozy and his place overall is always kept clean, and has a great view of the Thomas Jefferson park from his living room. I was so sad when it came time to leave! He's the best, and you will definitely love your experience if you stay with him!
Baptiste is an absolutely amazing host, he makes you feel at home and makes sure gets you anything you require to make your stay comfortable. His apt is very well done and very pretty. I love the way he has set it up. It has a very homely feeling and at the same time the price for the apart makes it so much more worth it.
I felt very good at Baptiste's apartment, the room was big enough for my luggage and the subway connection to downtown is quite close. The walls are little bit thin, so sometimes you can hear neighbors. However, the flat was clean and Baptiste made me feel very welcomed.

I've been living in USA for 6 years. I lived in LA for a while and now I'm in New York. I was born and raised in France. I am a teacher and an educational coordinator in a French American School.
I love to travel but I am not one of those who enjoy the camping style. I love to have a minimum of comfort and airbnb is the perfect way of travelling. I can meet people very easily and ask them the best tips to visit their home town.
I am a vegetarian and very strict about it. I do not smoke and I have no pet even if I love animals and respect them.
