Getting around

If you don't have a car I suggest downloading the LYFT or Uber application to your smartphone. This is definitely the best and cheapest way to get around the city by auto. It's about a $7 ride to the downtown entertainment district! Or you could walk (app 7 mins) to the Farmers Market and Bicentennial Mall State Park area. There you can rent bikes or catch the free downtown bus loop (Music City Circuit) that runs from 6 am till 6 pm at 7th and Harrison. But just do as i do and walk...only about 25 mins to the downtown entertainment district!!

  • We just had a wonderful stay at Rick's clean, comfortable, convenient unit. Comfy bed, nice TV & WiFi , plus coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Staying close to the downtown attractions made for easy exploring. Will stay here again...no hassles...

  • GREAT weekend at Rick's in Nashville! The apartment was very conveniently located, as we walked downtown every day in about 20 minutes. He was a great host and suggested a few places for us to check out while in town. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Would highly recommend staying at Rick's while you are in Nashville!!

  • The suite was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The close proximity to downtown Nashville is awesome. Rick was very nice when we met him and provided a very nice list of things to do in Nashville. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful as well. I only wish I could've stayed longer.

  • A great place to stay. Very fast response as we were on the road to Nashville and found there were no hotel rooms downtown where we wanted to stay. Everything as described and immaculate.

  • Thanks Rick! The place was fantastic and very close to town. I will definitely give you a call next time we are in Nashville.

  • My daughter and I stayed at Rick's place during CMA Fest. We loved the suite and it was decorated beautifully and very clean! I wish we could have enjoyed it more as we were pretty much only there to sleep getting in around 1:30 and leaving by 8:30. It was about a mile from downtown. Rick stayed in contact with us and made himself available if we had any questions. There were extra towels left, soda, coffee and snacks. We couldn't have asked for anything more and will definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Nashville. Thanks, Rick!

  • Staying at Rick's was a great decision. The suite was roomy and spotless, and anything we brought to his attention was addressed right away. He's just a quick text away. If I come back down to Nashville, I'll gladly stay here again if he's not already all booked up!

  • Our stay in Nashville was amazing thanks to Rick and this gem of a place! The place is immaculate and it's so nice that there are wine glasses and other dishware available! You can't beat the location either! We walked over to the farmer's market, centennial park, down to Broadway (bit of a hike but you could take the free shuttle), and the Germantown neighborhood. We loved how everything was under a 10 minute drive, even if it was across town! I would definitely recommend Rick's place to anyone looking to truly experience Nashville and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • Great little spot for a quick stay in Nashville. We walked from here through bicentennial park to get to broadway.

  • The space was a great retreat between being out and about. It was close enough to bi-centennial park, farmers market and even marathon village. We walked, although quickly realized that Nashville is not a walking town! Ha. The only surprise was the doorway leading to the rest of the house just off the 'kitchen' area, which we weren't sure if we were allowed to go into or not.

    Response from Rick:

Thanks JD for the great review!! I put a door to the hallway so guests in that suite could use the Washer/Dryer...as several have! It's lockable from inside your suite as I'm sure you noticed. Just a convenience for the guests in that suite! Thanks again and come back again!!

About
I know your not coming to Nashville to visit me, but i will do my best to provide a great place to stay while you are in Nashville! I am a single Dad with 2 great kids off to college! I built this home 3 years ago and love living near downtown Nashville. I am an avid walker and most weeks put in 15 to 20 miles just walking from my home to the Historical Germantown area, Bicentennial Mall State Park, Farmers Market, State Capital, Legislative Plaza, TPAC, then on to Lower Broad, 2nd Ave, and Riverfront park where all the honky tonks are located! That total distance is just a little over 2 miles each way. I was in the USAF and Tennessee Air Guard for 13 years where i was a navigator on C-130's. After my military life i became a General Contractor and started my own business. After being in the country for so long i decided to try the city life. I bought a vacant lot in this historical overlay district and loved it. Since then I have built 2 more homes on this street. I do love this up and coming neighborhood. I also love to hike the mountains! I have summed 3 12,000 foot peaks in the Rockies and last summer my son and I summed 14,254 foot Long's Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. I must admit - it kicked my ass ... but wow!... what a view! Leaves no doubt there is a God! I also love to kayak and travel. But the best times are with the kids. We love to play strategy board games..Settlers of Catan, Acquire, and Cashflow. I love Axis and Allies, but its hard to get them to play that! I also play in a Texas holdem Poker League...for points...not for cash! UPDATE: That's my first grandbaby...Walt....Born 19 November 2012!!
