About this listing
Double room available in spacious ground floor apartment in landmark building in the heart of Dublin city centre. Located nextdoor to Dublin Castle and mere metres from Templebar. A quiet city centre oasis with all mod cons and an outdoor area with private access.
The apartment is on the ground floor/ basement of a mid 18th century famous Dublin city house with original brick and fireplace. The apartment has been recently fully refurbished so it's a modern apartment in an atmospheric and original Dublin building.
Spacious living room, kitchen, outdoor deck area with seating. Galley kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and cooking space.
Interaction with Guests
I'm available to meet and greet and respond to any requests during the stay. I would appreciate it if guests would contact me before booking.
It's right in the centre of Dublin which is always vibrant. Capital city with big city amenities that retains the village atmosphere. Best of both worlds!
Buses, trains, trams and free bikes all on the doorstep.
Other Things to Note
**The double bed is a small double. It measures 125cm wide and just over two metres in length. May not suit extra tall people!!
We loved our stay at Luke's place. The room is perfect and although we shared a shower with Luke, it felt like a private bathroom.
Location is absolutely ideal for everything - you're smack dab in the middle of the city. Perfect for everything - bars, sightseeing (you're literally next door to Dublin castle). I was originally concerned about the noise level in temple bar before staying here, but the apartment is isolated and there is absolutely no need for ear plugs or anything of the sort. I'm a light sleeper and slept super well.
Luke himself is a very chill person and was helpful. He gave us some suggestions yet left us to ourselves.
Luke is a great host - welcoming, responsive to messages and although I didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment we had interesting chats when I was there. The location is excellent and the apartment itself has a great layout. The bed was really comfortable. A great choice all in all, especially if, like me, you have limited time in the city.
Luke was a wonderful host: welcoming but respectful of privacy, and always open to providing advice. The listing description was spot on, and the location couldn't have been more convenient. I told him when I left that I would be back—and I will!
Amazing Host!!! Amazing Accommodations!!!! There are not enough wonderful adjectives to describe Luke’s place. SUPER COOL comes to mind! So rich in character, charm, warmth, and history – right in City Centre!! For art and history nerds like myself, the house and room alone fully indulges the senses. For party animals and those in need of shopping therapy… you cannot get a better location! Temple Bar and Grafton are right around the corner, and the theatre and museums are all within walking distance as well! Luke goes above and beyond to accommodate; he’s a star, and the room is ideal. So much to offer, and simply not enough time to do it all; would definitely go back! I highly recommend to anyone looking for Dublin’s PERFECT Airbnb experience!
Wow! This was a awesome place in the perfect location. We just love it. We felt very safe and confortable. Thank you so much Luke!
In wenigen Gehminuten direkt in der Altstadt.
Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett. Schönes sauberes Zimmer.
Luke was a great host! He made us feel very welcome, gave us a nice tour of the apartment and some great restaurant suggestions. I wish we would've had a longer stay - it would have been great to spend more time with Luke.
The apartment is quite literally in the middle of everything. Plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance, Dublin castle right around the corner, and the river Liffey is probably a block or two away. The room itself was pretty private and had a bathroom right off of it. It was almost liking have our own private apartment.
I'd highly recommend staying here if you're going to Dublin!
