Double room available in spacious ground floor apartment in landmark building in the heart of Dublin city centre. Located nextdoor to Dublin Castle and mere metres from Templebar. A quiet city centre oasis with all mod cons and an outdoor area with private access.
The apartment is on the ground floor/ basement of a mid 18th century famous Dublin city house with original brick and fireplace. The apartment has been recently fully refurbished so it's a modern apartment in an atmospheric and original Dublin building.
Spacious living room, kitchen, outdoor deck area with seating. Galley kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and cooking space.
Interaction with Guests
I'm available to meet and greet and respond to any requests during the stay. I would appreciate it if guests would contact me before booking.
It's right in the centre of Dublin which is always vibrant. Capital city with big city amenities that retains the village atmosphere. Best of both worlds!
Buses, trains, trams and free bikes all on the doorstep.
Other Things to Note
**The double bed is a small double. It measures 125cm wide and just over two metres in length. May not suit extra tall people!!
The welcoming of Luke was great! He is totally in the spirit of Airbnb; easy to interact with, flexible and concerned about our needs. We had a dedicated and lovely living space in the house, which was appreciable. And the location of the house is more than suitable.
Luke was really friendly and gave us plenty of advice on things to see and places to go. Room was clean and exactly as it looked in the pictures, whilst essentially have its own en suite! The location is fantastic - right in the heart of Dublin, couldn't have asked for more!
Luke is a really welcoming and friendly host and gives you a lot of advices on where to go and what to do but also doesn't mind if you're having any other plans. Unfortunatly we couldn't do everything he told us about at our short stay. Our room was very nice. It was clean and you have a bathroom for yourself during your stay. It is a beautiful house in the centre of Dublin with a great host. What else can you wish for when visiting Dublin? Best address to me so far. Thanks Luke for making our holiday one of our best ones. We'll definitely come back!
Staying at Luke's moroccon room was amazing. Best thing is its location, in the heart of the city, 10 mins away walking from everything. The room and the whole house are really comfortable, not noisy at all (being in the centre that's a great achievement!) and nice in every way. Luke is super friendly and it was super easy to contact him, in the previous days to the trip and also when we got there. I will contact him again with no doubt if I go back to Dublin!
We were given a very warm welcome upon arrival. We kept in contact with Luke that we would arrive an hour later than we'd planned on. He was flexible and met us when we arrived. The location is great, right next to the Dublin Castle on Dame street (Temple Bar area). The room is situated so that you have privacy and an attached bathroom. The courtyard is charming as well. If you're a light sleeper like I am, you may want some ear plugs to keep out some street noise, but the noise dies out when the bars close. Overall we had a very pleasant experience staying with Luke, and would recommend his place to our friends.
Luke was an incredibly welcoming host, especially when our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving to Dublin at 530am, still Luke got up to let us in and gave us a tour of the place... so needless to say, Luke was a fantastic host!
The location is ideal, located pretty much as central as you can be, walking distance to all the main sites, and very easy to get to from the airport by bus. The building itself is quite interesting and historic as well.
The room itself was nice and cozy. The only negative comment I have is that the bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable for two people, but other than that it was a wonderful stay and we were very happy there!
Would definitely stay again! Luke was really friendly and welcoming. The room met all our needs and it was great having an ensuite bathroom. The location is AMAZING. You couldn't ask for anything better located in Dublin. Some of the street noise can filter in, but it wasn't at all bothersome for us. Great little gem!
