Truly the most memorable hosts and properties we've had the pleasure to meet & visit. Don & Isabella are exceptional hosts & La Casita del Carmen is a storybook all it's own. Thank you for the chance to share it.

Isabella and Don are wonderfully sweet hosts! The house is very close to Plaza San Miguel Bajo which has several small bites restaurants and one that opens for breakfast at 9am. They were so helpful by providing maps, a guide book that we borrowed and so much more! It was easy to walk to the Cathedral, the Royal Tombs, shops and more. You definitely want to take a taxi back after a long hot day of walking. It's a quick walk to many wonderful fine dining restaurants as well. Las Estrellas del Mirador de San Miguel is a must! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The house is wonderful and cool in the evenings when you open the windows. The gardens are beyond exquisite!! We ate breakfast and had cocktail hour most days during our stay under the gorgeous tall trees. The day we went to El Alhambra we could see the house from the grounds!!!! We highly recommend this wonderful Carmen (the historic name of houses with gardens/orchards). Thank you Isabel and Don for a lovely time. We didn't want to leave!

Isabela and Don were very friendly and were there to meet us as soon as we arrived. The 'casita' and gardens were beautiful! We were very comfortable, and loved the decor and layout. The kitchen had everything you would need, including an efficient washing machine. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the fans, as it was not hot enough to use the air conditioner. Isabela and Don were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. We visited Alhambra and were able to walk back to the casita. The neighborhood was magical, and full of local flavor! It was also within walking distance to the city center. We wished we had scheduled more time there. We highly recommend the casita!

I could not have had a better experience than my month with Isabela and Don in Granada. The guest house is lovely in itself but its situation on a large and lovingly tended private garden makes it one of the prime locations of the city. It's is a cool escape from the warm sunny days, a haven of sorts, full of fresh herbs and fruit trees. Isabela and Don could neither have been more gracious and dependable hosts. They welcomed me warmly into their lives and shared with me their love for Granada and the Albayzin. They were founts of knowledge and recommendations and helped me experience all the Granada had to offer in a truly authentic way. I would return to stay in a heartbeat!

We absolutely loved staying here!!! Don and Isabela were incredibly gracious hosts and their house is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I traveled throughout Spain for 8 nights last week, and this house was definitely our favorite out of all the places we stayed. We had everything we could possibly need and more... the house is spacious and comfortable, but it is also gorgeous. It is in a great area; very safe and charming neighborhood - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted, and the best view of the city is right up the road. The garden in the backyard is breathtaking... Don and Isabela even picked us oranges from their tree for our juice in the morning. I highly recommend staying here.. you won't regret it!

This was our favorite place we stayed! An absolutely beautiful carmencita that was clean and had beautiful details. Don and Isabela were very helpful and accommodating hosts, allowing us to stay an extra night and helping us orient ourselves in Granada. We got to pick oranges in the large, beautiful gardens and make fresh squeezed orange juice. It was experiences like these that made this a truly authentic stay.

This was a great stay. It's a detached garden home, which is larger than my apartment back home. It has a large living area, good kitchen, and nice bedroom. The gardens are lovely. Isabela and Don were very nice hosts, provided great check-in info, and were very responsive to questions we had about local activities. There was some coffee, tea, and pastries on hand as well, which was very very nice of the hosts. The location is ideal, in the middle of the Albaicin, and it's a few minutes walk to San Nicholas and a quick walk to restaurants and plazas. It's easy to get to and from the newer part of town with a few minutes walking, and it's not a bad hike to Sacromonte and the Alhambra. Granada is a beautiful town, and this place is a great place to stay while exploring. Very central, clean, quiet, beautiful, and welcoming. Highly recommended.
