Interaction with Guests
Once guests check in they are welcome to call or email me with any queries or problems.
Having been in the travel & hospitality industry for almost 40 years, I have a vast knowledge of the country, especially places to visit and things to do. Always happy to recommend and assist guests in this regard.Furthermore I respect guests privacy and would not deal with them at all , once they are in residence unless required to do so.
Inner city improvement district, loads of young people, many new and trendy spots, like pubs, restaurants, galleries, etc, to hangout.
The central railway station is just five blocks away, connecting one to various points within the Cape Peninsula and MyCity bus system stops just 100 metres from the building. Taxis available all the time.
Underground parking bay available for use of guests within building at no extra charge.
Transfers from airport, if not hiring a car can be done by various companies. The MyCity bus system has a direct airport to city link every half an hour

Jean was so nice to communicate with and greeted us at the apartment. It was excellent for us - a couple who wanted to experience Cape Town for two weeks. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed is comfortable and there is a lovely pool area on the top of the building with magnificent views of the surroundings (and a gym!). The only thing we missed was wi-fi, but we simply bought a local SIM-card with a 3G connection.
The apartment is close to bus stops as well as 10-15 minutes in walking distance of Long St., Kloof St. etc. with lots of restaurant and night life options. The area itself also offers a few cafés and good hangout spots. Everything feels very secure - the police station is even right across the street.
The apartment was in a great location close to all the local sights and a very good Coffee shop "Truth" just down the road!
The pool on the roof was great and the Gym came in very handy (best life cycle view ever)
The only criticism would be no view as illegal building put up directly next to apartment so you see barbed wire and concrete. Also slight problem with Cockroaches in kitchen.
No wifi available which was a pain. Could use a Dongle on PC but nothing on mobile.
Jean was an amazing host. I rented his soft loft apartment for 5 weeks in the central business district and my experience was amazing. The security was amazing and I felt very safe. The apartment is in an amazing location close to the buses, train station, coffee shops, bakeries and bars. It was only a 15 minute walk to Long Street.
The roof top gym and pool were great and the neighbors are very friendly. Jean and Dean were very attentive but not intrusive. They called to check in on me since I was a solo traveler and provided all of the amenities listed and more.
The apartment was clean and sufficient size for 1 or 2 people. During a heavy rainstorm, the balcony flooded, but Jean was on top of it and it was cleaned up before I even knew it had happened.
I would definitely stay there again and hope to travel back to Cape Town soon. This place is a win! I can't imagine having a better time in Cape Town. Check out some of the things I did there….in the November/December folders (website hidden)
Good value, town centre (email hidden)nerous size property and good views across the city....suited to a family with double bed and settee conversion for a child.
Excellent bar (the Perseverance) is just 200 metres away for good food and drink in the oldest bar in Cape Town.
Would return again
