Great host! The room was as described and clean. Wayan and his family are incredibly hospitable. He really enjoys sharing his culture with his guests so he took me to a celebration at his temple the night I was there! Overall great stay and I hope to come back and stay for a much longer time in the future.
We stayed with Wayan and his lovely family for 5nights and found this experience to be the best we have had so far while in Bali. The room and guest house in the family complex has an extra large bed and was clean and spacious. Wayan went out of his way to make sure we had a true Balinese experience. We enjoyed an authentic Balinese Breakfast every morning on the steps of the house while talking with his family. Throughout the day Wayan was respectful of our space and never pressured us to do anything unless we wanted to. Was great to be able to relax, but he was always there if we needed anything. He took us on a day trip and we saw many amazing temples and sights within Bali but our most memorable experience would have to be the family ceremony and visit to the local school. We got to dress like traditional Balinese women when we visited the temple at night with his beautiful wife and their most happy baby Gita, who we fell in love with instantly. We were so sad to leave as we had already booked our next accommodation, however rearranged our trip to go back for another 5nights at Wayan's Villa so we can spend more time with them all! We would highly recommend staying here if you want a true taste of Bali.
We stayed 3 days in I Wayans house. We had a room upstairs with a great wiev. The gazebo was great for relaxing. We was varmly received Of the family. I Wayan and his wife were very nice People and helpfull with everything. They made so fantastic balinese food, we had breakfast and dinner, so we tasted many specialities and to a reasonable prize. I Wayan could arrange tours, but we prefer to rent bicycles to Explore the
nice surroundings with rice fields. We Can recommend to stay at the house if you are to a simple and clean room and looking for a peaceful place with friendfulness.
Staying with Wyan and his extended family is a true Bali experience. Our room was an entire second floor suite complete with a covered terrace and a raised and covered traditional meditation platform also good for reading and relaxing. Downstairs the enclosed compound is busy with the father carving traditional wood sculptures and the rest of the extended family busy with their chores like making traditional decorations for the next festival. Wayan and his wife does their utmost to guide us and feed us and Wayan is an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide.
My sister and I stayed with Wayan and his family for a week and had an incredible time. Wayan truly cares about his guests and takes the time to help make your visit an unforgettable experience. He offered to take us around to many different places, including temples, monkey forest, rice paddies, Holy spring water, and to also see various Balinese dance shows. By staying in his village, we got to experience the true Balinese culture through wood carving and meals that he offered for a very reasonable price. He even allowed us to take part in Balinese ceremonies with his village. From the moment he picked us up from the airport, he was very friendly and open to any questions, with our first day planned for us already.
Where we stayed was very clean upon arrival with its own dining area and a beautiful gazebo overlooking his village. We highly recommend staying with Wayan, you will not be disappointed!

Hi, I'm Wayan Widnyana. I live in Kemenuh in East Ubud, with my family of wood carvers.
One interesting thing about me is that I worked for 8 years in the US as Japanese Chef! I am happy to be back with my family in Bali and with my beautiful new bride.
I have several different types of accommodation available, from private, luxury villas to rooms in my own home where you can experience the authentic Balinese way of life. Come learn wood carving and Balinese cooking with my family and help prepare for a Saraswati or Galungan ceremony with us. Or take a bicycle ride around our village to see the beautiful rice paddies and Petanu river. Definitely, you will leave with many cherished memories and new friends!
Salamat Datang de Bali!
