The space

This listing is for the private bedroom within my super spacious apartment, sweeping view, fast Wifi: Welcome to my beautiful yet simple apartment in the world's greatest city: San Francisco!

My apartment is located at pacific height area with great city view, 3 minutes hike up lafayette park you will have panoramic view of San Francisco, including Golden Gate Bridge! It has two large rooms: the bed room shown in the photos is the room I'm renting: it's HUGE, airy, and very sunny with great privacy and view. There are two huge walk in closets that could place in one big bed. The dinning room in the hallway is adjacent to the full kitchen with dinning table where you can have proper dinner. Kitchen is fully stocked with plates/glasses/pots/pans etc if you are in the mood to cook. Let's move to the bath room: the shower head is big with perfect pressure: expect a nice hot shower whenever you need one.

The apt is in a beautiful Victorian style apt building built in 1920s, it has all the details from only the best craftsman work, beautiful hardwood floor throughout. There are even four little smily angels' faces at each room's ceiling corner.

The location is the best: just a few blocks from unpretentious, sophisticated fillmore district - a quintessential San Francisco classic neighborhood.

Additional three things making my place standout:

1. The extra large room: its 30% larger than 95% of the apartment in my area
2. The view: sweeping view of hays valley, Japan town, twin tower all the way to the inner sunset area. breathtaking!
3. Privacy: with the view comes with the privacy, no neighbor peeking, well I lied, maybe a few hummingbirds.

Hope I have done some justification for this apartment. I love traveling to other countries and regions so I completely embrace people with an adventurous spirit.

This place was an absolute blast! I stayed here for almost three months for a summer internship in the city, and I definitely do not regret going with this listing. The room is probably one of the best finds in all of San Francisco. It's extremely spacious and airy, with plenty of sunlight coming in. It has a nice, homey feel to it with the couch, drawer, desk, and nightstand all completing the experience. There's plenty of space to put your belongings as well (Jan let me use the closet next door for anything I needed to hang). The view alone is something that makes the price worth it. On foggy San Francisco days, you get to see the city slowly be enveloped in the thick, beautiful clouds. In the mornings, you get to wake up to the natural light of the sun shining in through the windows, with a view of downtown and other San Francisco neighborhoods. I also discovered Pacific Heights is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city. California Street is iconic, and the beautiful Victorian architecture all around is a sight you won't get tired of. Lafayette Park is just a block away, and it was a great place to go jogging in the mornings. To SOMA (where I worked), the commute took about 25 minutes by bus and around 10-15 minutes by car during rush hour. The place is also walking distance to Whole Foods on the east and a bunch of neat little shops on the west. Jan was overall a great host. He was very flexible and helpful with any needs I had, and was easy to chat with. I would highly recommend this place!

Response from Jan Grant:
Wow Eddie, you describe the room better I have ever imagined myself, I never appreciate it that way, but hell yeah! Very poetic telling indeed, have you thought about becoming a writer instead of a programmer!

The apartment was very clean and in a great location. Jan was very welcoming and gave me tips of what to do in San Francisco. He also drove me around places I was very interested in seeing in the city and was very friendly.

About me: I am nature/animal/food/discovery/travel/history channels fan and a very outdoorsy guy. I've been in the startup world since summer 2011.

I often can be found on Fillmore street tasting delicious latte, playing soccer, running around, sunbathing at the park when it's sunny, no wind, and warm, or windsurfing when it's windy and warm. I love playing guitar and sing at the same time. Previously I was once hooked with "behind the moon" by Matt Costa, and "she moves her way" by the kooks, and of course "(tonight) we are young" by fun; My favorite guitar playing songs include "fireworks" whitest boy alive, "Down" jason walker, show me what im looking for by Carolina Liar. I am especially impressed with Band of horses, and recently obsessed with "the Wolves" by Ben Howard.

An update on favorite musics: my newest favorite singer song writer group is a great new world, and their song "say something" and "I don't wanna love somebody else", "already home".
