The house and grounds were as good, if not better, than we expected. The staff were friendly, helpful and not at all intrusive. Location is very nice, not for those who want to party though. Morgan was great. Very helpful and organised everything perfectly.
I found the place mystical and real, inside the house it felt like in any given time 500 years ago or 5000 years ago, a timeless experience, I when for writing and the setting was very inspirational.
The Balinese couple who take care of the place like always very respectful and caring.
Thank you Deborah.
This home is exactly as the pictures show. I read though the first set of reviews and it seems to be a great place. If you get past the first page, you will see more realistic reviews. It is beautiful but I would never stay in this home again for the following reasons.
When we arrived, I communicated to Morgan that we would arrive later in the night since we were coming from Amed. Once we arrived at 9 pm, the gate was locked. We called about 4 times before someone answered (who was sleeping) and said that they would send a gate keeper over. 10 minutes later, someone had showed to unlock.
Once we were let into the home, the kitchen was flooded. We wanted to cook some food after traveling all day, we then realized that the stove was covered in ants. The kitchen was just not a comfortable place to cook and the pans offered to cook in seemed very dirty even after I had washed and scrubbed them.
We started to unpack and my husband laid down in bed. As I went to pull the covers I noticed a lot of small specs in the bed. Once I looked closer, they were little worms (bed bugs). This was after my husband has been laying down for 20 minutes. I immediately woke him and let him know the bed was dirty and we could not sleep in it. He had gotten bite several times on his back in the short time he laid down. We ended up covering the small wooden couch with our hammock then slept with a few sarongs over us.
The next day we had appointment In Kuta which is not a close drive (at least 1/2 hr drive) and tried to arrange a taxi with Morgan. She did not get back to us for a while so we took a scooter to the nearest mini mart and had someone call a taxi from there. The phone provided at the house was not charged and we could not seem to make it work.
The location is not ideal and the house it self is not kept up cleanliness wise. We chose to find another spot the following night. We never met Morgan and the communication once we arrived was very poor.
I hope the next guest who stays in this home has a better experience and the things I have listed are changed.
We had a fabulous stay at this villa. It was a large private property so you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but in reality you are right in Canggu so close to everything.
The villas have everything you need for a relaxing stay and the wood villa was especially fun to sleep in.
I would definitely recommend staying here.
This villa was beautiful! Away from the tourist hub but great to explore the real Bali. Arranging a scooter was an added bonus as there arn't taxis about. Would love to come back again!
The place was beautiful. We had an amazing time staying there. Would like to stay in this place again when we go back to Bali.
Even though we were not able to meet Morgan but she was really kind to always accommodate our needs before our arrival. We met Julian who helped us with motorbike rent, directions and places to eat during our stay.
