  • Not a very pleasant stay after all.
We stayed in Bali for a week and decided to try two different accommodations. One in Ubut, a shared villa with a private room and this one hosted by Morgan. Unlike our first expectations that this private villa would be a lot more enjoyable than the shared one, Morgan's room rather gave us disappointment than any kind of pleasure we hoped to get. We read through all the positive reviews Morgan has been given through numerous guests in the past so we also decided to give it a go.

    1. At the first place we were given free breakfasts on request, literally anytime we wanted and that room cost 1/3 of Morgan's place. Whenever we asked more, we would get more thanks to the warm-hearted housekeeper. Here when we asked if we would be provided with breakfast, Morgan said we should get it delivered if we wanted. So we did through the number advertised on the book Morgan gave us(she said they should know the location already). The restaurant couldn't find the villa so my friend had to ride halfway to get the food delivery.

    2. We used the driver service a couple times and we thought it was a totally rip-off
On our arrival to Bali, the first accommodation prepared an airport pickup for 25$ to Ubud. On our last day to the airport from Canggu, Morgan said it's 25$. Obviously Canggu is much closer to the airport(almost halfway compared to Ubud) and she said we need to talk with the driver if we want to negotiate the price. The driver barely spoke English and put us through to Morgan who only said "there's no way") We were already on the car and couldn't believe they try to charge their guests such high fares. (I got to use a taxi tour one time and he told me he'd normally charge 20$ or less and 25$ is too much.)

On the way to Sanur to go to Nusa Lembogan, we wanted to call the driver. He charged us ridiculously high price again and it was rather a short drive and he kept saying the price is fixed.

    3. We went on one day trip to Nusa Lembogan which means we stayed away from the villa for a day. The next day we came back, the security was gone and there was nobody at home.

We only saw Morgan once when we arrived and when we wanted to ask for help and called her, she kept saying I don't know...
    4. Last day, we were leaving to the airport and the water didn't come out. Literally no water at all. No shower and when we were just about to leave, we were informed that the cleaning lady was gardening with the water...

I don't know. Don't just believe what you read here...

  • Morgan's place was a dream! A perfect way to spend a relaxing week away from the hustle in the more populous areas, but relatively close to everything!
Exactly as advertised, the place may even be better than the pictures.

Morgan, her cousin Julien, Yuda and Putu are all wonderful gracious hosts willing the help with anything. So accommodating!

    Would definitely stay again!

  • The villa is everything that it promises to be and much more. If you are looking to stay in a luxury walled accommodation then this is not the place for you. Here you will be one with the nature. Geckos lizards spiders in the back yard to keep you feeling close to nature while still close to city center. And loads of good eating places. Only downside is it gets a little eerie after dark when all the lights are off. But definitely recommended otherwise.

  • As everyone has sajd it is a charming place and extremely well priced! Gorgeous villa, lovely pool and gardens, and lovely people. A great area to experience a bit of the 'real' Bali not too far from the tourist region. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Definitely need some transportation, and when you do grab a map and go exploring, it is well worth it. Thanks so much!

  • The villa is in fact better than in the pictures, a place to relax, very very quiet. The place is very clean, with a lovely cleaning lady and a kind security guard. A bit isolated but with the scooter Morgan gave us, you are close to everything 10-15 min max. We didn't see Morgan but the communication was easy. Definitely recommend it for a first Balinese experience.

  • Morgan saved our lifes by accepting a last minute réservation. We stayed in the old balinese house, more beautiful than on the photos. Thank you Ayo for your kindness. We enjoyed this quiet place not far from everything by scooter. By the way Morgan booked one for us delivered at home.
    Highly recommanded!

  • We booked for 5 nights and had a fantastic time.
On our arrival, Morgan came to greet us and suggested the main attraction for us to see.
The map she provided us proved to be gold mine for our daily explorations.
She then organized a scooter for us to go around. The place is located near many good local restaurants and close to the beach.
The house is gorgeous as seen on the photos and Yuda the cleaner maintains it in an impeccable state. The property has a large garden with a lot of fruit trees and is well maintained thanks to Putu the gardener. The pool is also very nice although it gets a bit shady in the evening.
If you are looking for a relaxing and true experience of Bali this is the place for you.

  • Loved it , just what the doctor ordered! 'Far from the madding crowd' of Kuta and not a McDonalds or Starbucks for miles. Arriving on the eve of Nyepi (day of silence) I was fortunate to see the Ngoh Ngoh procession and celebrations at the local temple. And what better way to spend Nyepi than at this villa? A large pool all to myself set in a very well kept garden with rambutan, pomelo, mangosteen and other fruit trees. As other reviewers have said a scooter is a must to get around and Morgan will organise one for you.Having not been on 2 wheels for over 40 years I was initially unsure but soon had the confidence to venture off on trips to the beaches and Tanah Lot.
Special mention for Uda and Putu - the cleaner and gardener - they kept the villa and grounds spotless and Uda especially was a mind of information.
I have no hesitation recommending this villa for those looking for peace and quiet and hopefully I will return one day.
