This was a very nice house. Everything was as described by John. Appeared to be the listers actual house vs an investment/rental property. The living area was small but more than adequate. Where this house really shines is the number of bedrooms/bathrooms. 3 total bedrooms plus an office made for ample space for everyone tospread out a bit. Great house and Durango is a great place to relax. Highly recommended!
Very nice cozy house with all the comforts of home. Lovely views with lots of windows and natural light.
Listing was accurate - the house was nice and spacious. Spectacular views, and very comfortable decks for enjoying meals and hanging out. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed - and by the way, we love gas stoves, so cooking was fun.
This was a work visit to Durango, so we didn't get a chance to ride bikes or swim at the club, but we enjoyed the quiet, and were able to rest - so for us it was perfect.
Oh - there was a nice house plant covered with flowers in the kitchen - when we pulled the blinds on the windows, the whole home became very light filled - my wife liked that!
This was exactly what we wanted and needed, and John was super responsive - answering text messages very quickly - that's how we said hello and checked out.
We'd do this again!
Lovely, comfortable home with clear, prompt communications. We three couples were able to enjoy a wonderful weekend in Durango due to a delightful stay at this accommodation. The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and the views were spectacular. I can highly recommend this rental!
John's home was absolutely perfect for our family vacation in Durango.
It is in a great location - a very quiet neighborhood close to downtown Durango. We had two young children age 4 and 9 months and there is a fantastic kid park a five minute walk from the house. The home itself is spacious with lots of natural light and an open kitchen and living room area great for socializing and relaxing. There is a nice view from the back porch where you can watch the sunset or even eat dinner. We hope we can return in the near future.
Wonderful home in a great location. Quiet, upscale neighborhood. Amazing views from all windows but especially the sit all day deck. 5-10 minutes to downtown (depending on whether you stop to watch the deer.) Our family of five was very comfortable in this well designed home and didn't want to leave. Hope to stay again soon.
Beautiful home, perfect for a family getaway! Location is in a very nice neighborhood and was easily accessible to downtown Durango. The layout of the house is great, beds are comfortable, showers are hot with good water pressure (master bathroom shower is wonderful), and the kitchen-living room area is very open but still has a lovely, cozy feel. The waterfall in the living room and the heated floors definitely added to the comfort! My nephews enjoyed the children’s books and were incredibly excited to see a “reindeer” outside the front window. The view was stunning, with the snow capped mountains in the background. John and his wife had excellent communication with us prior to the trip, provided books with excellent recommendations (and a coupon book!) of local places to explore, and provided us contact information for both themselves and neighbors if we were to have any questions or issues during our stay. They even contacted us after our stay to inform us of items that were left behind (a service you definitely would not get in most hotels!). I would definitely stay in their home again for future visits to Durango. For anyone interested, if you go in the winter I would highly recommend the Polar Express train ride. If you have kids it’s definitely an experience to remember!
