What a historic place!!!! To stay in a stone structure so old is really inspiring. The outdoor space is fantastic and so stunningly beautiful. Well kept and maintained. A truly special experience for my birthday!!! 💞

A very special place. Interesting history and design. Great indoor and outdoor common areas. You will have fun listening to the water which actually runs under part of the old mill house.

Such a gorgeous and unique spot! Really, if you enjoy soulful architecture, this place is totally worth it. Rustic but stylish. Fireplaces and woodstoves everywhere to make it extra cozy. We went with kids but found that it was totally doable (though the host did warn us there ar…

I almost don't want to write a review for fear that I will reveal to the entire Airbnb universe just how special and amazing the Salvato Mill is... But with Michele and Ariana's hospitality, clear communication and all around good vibes - one can only spread the love. Everythin…

Both the owner and the property manager of this house are lovely people and tried to be as helpful as possible. This house is clearly loved, in an idyllic location, and has furniture that is charmingly mid-century modern. But what you don't see in the photos is that it is unsafe,…

Response from Ariana:
We are so sorry that the Mill and country living just were not a good fit for Melissa and her family. We invested many hours throughout the Christmas holiday to address all her reported issues. When it became clear that there was nothing more we could do to suit her needs, we offered Melissa a full refund. Melissa accepted the refund, and despite her expressed disappointments and fears, stayed at the Mill 2 additional nights (staying 6 of the 7 nights booked). As stated in our listing, the Mill is a nationally recognized historic site dating back to the 1700s. It is not a hotel or a typical country home, but rather a renovated historic structure converted to a house with exposed stone walls (and a waterfall running through it!). It is lovingly maintained and if issues arise, we attend to them immediately with our main goal to have happy renters. Part of the Mill's magic is the immediacy of nature all around. For some, this may not be a good fit. But for many, it is an enchanting, once in a lifetime experience. We've been thrilled to have had 10+ years of renting on multiple vacation rental websites, to people from all walks of life who have loved the Mill for the unique space that it is, many who return to stay again. In all those years, this is only the second negative review we have ever received. I hope our 'Super Host' status and other reviews will highlight the positives.

The house is stunning and has so much character to it. The surrounding is magical. We spent 3 nights with a group of friends and it was just perfect.

This property is my childhood home I inherited years ago. My father was an architect & my mother is an interior designer. Together, in 1966, they began renovation of this historic mill from it's abandoned state, which became a life long project I am continuing with. This was a mag…
