Welcome to Saturday Cabin, a boutique chalet tucked into a wooded neighborhood on the banks of the Sandy River, just 15 minutes to Mt. Hood. Explore the national forest & return home to enjoy rejuvenating amenities, including a large deck w/ outdoor lounge, hot tub under the pines, wood-burning stove, movie room, ping pong, and more. Saturday Cabin is a 1960s Mt. Hood Chalet renovated with love and transformed into a modern getaway in the heart of the PNW. Enjoy high lofted wooden ceilings, large windows with forest & ridgeline views, and mindful design in every room, including plants, local art & ceramics, books, and more.
Walk a few steps out of the cabin and down the neighborhood forest trail to arrive at the river, where you'll find multiple outcoves of sandy beaches and a swimming hole perfect for picnicking, sunbathing, and enjoying time in the sun. In the winter, we're below the snowline, so the river is still accessible for lush PNW trail walks. Return home for a ping pong match in our converted garage, s'mores on the campfire, and a spa soak under the pines.
Located in the heart of the PNW, you'll be surrounded by endless adventure year-round. Paddleboard at Trillium Lake in the Summer, hike amongst wildflowers on Mt. Hood in the Spring, see the Salmon swim upstream on the Old Salmon River Trail in the Fall, and ski & snowboard at Oregon's best resorts - Timberline, Skibowl, and Mt. Hood Meadows in the Winter. If you'd prefer to stay in the neighborhood, you'll have plenty to do! Enjoy our community pool in the summer, as well as year-round tennis and basketball courts.
There is a great local food scene close by, including many restaurants, breweries, markets, and a coffee shop & bakery.

The entire cabin is yours to enjoy during your stay. This includes the garage with a washer / dryer and ping pong table. There is room for a maximum of 3 cars in our driveway.

* Saturday Cabin is located in a quiet forested neighborhood with many full-time residents. Please be mindful of your noise levels and respect quiet hours from 10pm-8am.
* The cabin is A-Frame style with an open loft area and open stairs. We provide a baby gate at the top of the stairs and encourage parents to practice safety with young children.
* We are located in the national forest and expect guests to follow regulations such as fire bans. We'll communicate with guests accordingly. Please use the outdoor firepit with caution and respect.
* Please note that winter storms and high winds in summer can create power outages at the cabin. Usually, these outages are short, and we have a "power outage" kit for our guest's comfort.
* You'll find personal fans in each room for warmer days along with an AC unit in the upstairs loft that keeps the cabin very cool. The cabin is surrounded by trees and we're at a higher elevation, so doesn't usually get too warm and always cools down at night.

Our love for nature, family, and meaningful spaces is what brought us to Saturday Cabin. Originally created by our friends, this cabin was lovingly transformed by them into the forest retreat it is today. We feel incredibly grateful to be the next stewards of this space.
