About this listing
Cozy room in an artist's home within walking distance from e.g. Town Hall Square and downtown Copenhagen (5 min), busses (2 min), trains (5 min), nature (5 min), swimming (1 min) and plenty more.
Private home with lots of atmosphere - and a small, friendly dog.
Room for two.
The room is part of a cosy and bohemian 6 room flat (145 sqm in all) of an established artist - located just across the bridge from the center of Copenhagen and within walking distance of just about everything.
The building is a solid brick house from 1905 with a very nice courtyard with benches and tables, fig trees, flower beds and grass, where you can relax with a book or go for a smoke or enjoy your cup of tea.
The Islands Brygge area is one of the most popular places to live due to the village-like atmosphere and the nice harbourfront with the swimming facilities; the water is clean and daily tested:-).
Nearby you will find supermarkets, best bread/breakfast place in town, sushi, traditional Danish open sandwiches, pharmacy, postoffice, craft and gift shops, bicycle rental, homemade ice cream, best italian pizza, coffeeshops and bars - all within 100 m.
There is several possibilities for a walk or a run in green surroundings; e.g. Christianshavns Vold - part of the old fortifications (50 m) and Christiania or the nature reserve of Amager Faelled; unique for a capital to have such an area next to the city center. It is also close to Ørestaden; a new area with many famous architectural projects.
Walking around the corner and over the bridge you will be 2 blocks from the pittoresque Glyptotheque and next to that the Tivoli Garden amusement park, Townhall square and Strøget.
As a guest in our home, naturally you're welcome to use the toilet, the shower, the wifi and the Nespresso-machine and make your breakfast in the kitchen.
In the room there's an electric kettle, a thermos and free tea and coffee.

Other Things to Note
Notice the shower and toilet are separated and rather small like it is in the theese traditional Copenhagener appartments. Originally my apartment was 2 3-room flats, now put together and the one toilet rebuilt into a shower.
Quiet behaviour after 10 p.m.
No pets, since we allready have Vega, the monarch of our flat.
Smoking in the courtyard.
Kasia is a welcoming host and the room is very clean, spacious and bright. The bed was very comfortable too :))
For me this was an ideal location as its near some nice bar/restaurants and a large supermarket. Also close enough to the City and attractions if you like a nice walk.
Highly recommend this!
I can fully recommend Kasia's nice flat in a very central and popular area of the city. It is very close to the harbour bath, the city centre and yammy cafes and shops. The room has everything one can ask for to recharge after a day in the city. Kasia is very easy going, kind and has an open-minded attitude. I very much enjoyed my stay, thanks a bunch!
Staying with Kasia, Thora and Vega was nothing but another fantastic airbnb experience. The room is just wonderful, bright and clean and providing even coffee and tea making facilities, the bed incredibly comfortable. The location is wonderful as well and Kasia and her mum provided me with great recommendations for brunches and dinners in the area. Whenever we met during my stay we had most pleasant chats and Kasia and Thora were really lovely and even kind enough to allow me to leave the room quite late so I could directly move into the hotel for the conference following my pre-conference-extra Copenhagen days. I would stay with these friendly, open-minded and absolutely likable people again any time!
Host was wonderful, truly a nice person. Welcomed me in, gave me a nice tour of her beautiful apartment, offered me suggestions on what to do in my short time there, was generous with some food which is always appreciated but not expected. She gave great directions and was really a stellar host. The room is nice and the bed comfy. Her family is wonderful. Couldn't be better!
I really enjoyed my stay with Kasia and Thora. They were very warm and welcoming. The apartment was perfect for my needs and the bed was SO comfortable. The room is exactly as it shows on photo very clean with plenty of space and lots of tea and coffee. They are very central to the city 5 minute walk Very easy to get to by bus from airport. I really enjoyed my trip to Copenhagen which was made better with the hospitality shown . Thank you
The room was very clean and well designed too. Kasia is a very friendly person and a wonderful host. The room is pretty close to the next bus station which makes this location to a perfect starting point for city trips. The whole flat is quite spacious and there was nothing missing. Thanks for the nice stay.
Kasia and her family were very helpful and welcoming. The room is delightful and the location is great. We really enjoyed Copenhagen and hope to return someday.
About the Host, Kasia
I have a shop and workshop in the city center of Copenhagen dealing with my own design since 1996.
I love to travel and do it much too little.
I have a small garden with a shed 1 km away where I can hear the townhall bells while picking strawberries; thats quite unique.
