Nice room -central and popular area

Apartment - Private room · Thorshavnsgade, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark 2300, Denmark

Cozy room in an artist's home within walking distance from e.g. Town Hall Square and downtown Copenhagen (5 min), busses (2 min), trains (5 min), nature (5 min), swimming (1 min) and plenty more.

Private home with lots of atmosphere - and a small, friendly dog.

Room for two.

The room is part of a cosy and bohemian 6 room flat (145 sqm in all) of an established artist - located just across the bridge from the center of Copenhagen and within walking distance of just about everything.

The building is a solid brick house from 1905 with a very nice courtyard with benches and tables, fig trees, flower beds and grass, where you can relax with a book or go for a smoke or enjoy your cup of tea.

The Islands Brygge area is one of the most popular places to live due to the village-like atmosphere and the nice harbourfront with the swimming facilities; the water is clean and daily tested:-).

Nearby you will find supermarkets, best bread/breakfast place in town, sushi, traditional Danish open sandwiches, pharmacy, postoffice, craft and gift shops, bicycle rental, homemade ice cream, best italian pizza, coffeeshops and bars - all within 100 m.

There is several possibilities for a walk or a run in green surroundings; e.g. Christianshavns Vold - part of the old fortifications (50 m) and Christiania or the nature reserve of Amager Faelled; unique for a capital to have such an area next to the city center. It is also close to Ørestaden; a new area with many famous architectural projects.

Walking around the corner and over the bridge you will be 2 blocks from the pittoresque Glyptotheque and next to that the Tivoli Garden amusement park, Townhall square and Strøget.

As a guest in our home, naturally you're welcome to use the toilet, the shower, the wifi and the Nespresso-machine and make your breakfast in the kitchen.
In the room there's an electric kettle, a thermos and free tea and coffee.

We are allways ready with good advice. We are very openminded and have before hosted many people from around the world. Our own family have roots in Denmark, Poland, South Africa and Argentina and we have friends of many nationalities. We love to meet new people.

Notice the shower and toilet are separated and rather small like it is in the theese traditional Copenhagener appartments. Originally my apartment was 2 3-room flats, now put together and the one toilet rebuilt into a shower.

  • The apartment is extremely well-located; it is easy and convenient to walk to any part of the city. Kasia and Thora helped us when we needed advice or had questions about the apartment, and were very hospitable. The room looks exactly as it does in the photos, and felt private and comfortable. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Highly recommended.

  • Kasia and Thora are great, and wonderful hosts. Very relaxed. We felt very welcome and at home in their nice well located place. Loved the bread on the next corner and cafe Alma a few blocks away. We definitely recommend a stay here for a warm Kopenhagen experience!

  • Kasia is an inspirational lady and a wonderful host. I felt content and at home from day one. The room is bright and beautiful as was the rest of the apartment!

  • I had a great stay with Kasia. I stayed for around 30 days and had the freedom and flexibility to live comfortably. The location is great and has very easy access to the city.

    I recommend staying with Kasia.

  • It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Kasia's place which is just across the water from either downtown or Christianshavn (and Christiania). She is very open and welcoming - we had some very good and long talks. I'd go back anytime without hesitation!

  • The room is charming, the location is ideal and Kasia is the perfect host. Would highly recommend staying here for a short break in Copenhagen.

  • Highly recommended. I loved everything about Kasia's place and enjoyed my stay for two nights.

The room is clean and bright as it is on the photo with things that are nice to have for travelers such as guidebook of Copenhagen and coffee maker(loved that color). The apartment is located in cozy and quiet area yet closed to the central Copenhagen.

Kasia is very kind and great host. She has coordinated with her family to introduce her apartment and help me on the way to the apartment. She taught me how she has reformed the house and it was very interesting.

  • Our stay in Kasia's apartment was great. As a host she was very nice and helpful, always recommending us things to do and places to visit. The apartment is very cosy and clean, the room is spacious though the bed is a bit tiny for two. It's on a great location, a lovely residential zone, one block to the riverside, and just crossing the bridge you are in town square and the centre.

About
I have a shop and workshop in the city center of Copenhagen dealing with my own design since 1996. I love to travel and do it much too little. I have a small garden with a shed 1 km away where I can hear the townhall bells while picking strawberries; thats quite unique.
