Located on one of Park Slope, Brooklyn's best South Slope blocks, the apartment is just steps away from every city convenience. Located on the corner of 16th St and 6th Ave it is near every convenience. It is on the second floor of a corner building. Downstairs a small deli can provide you with everything you need to eat as well as household supplies.
Our neighborhood is bordered by Gowanus, Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill, Prospect Heights, Windsor Terrace and Sunset Park. We are also minutes away from the Barclay center, the Atlantic Center Mall and the one of greatest areas to choose from all kinds of dining. We are also home to a great diversity of ethnic groups, which reflects the great spirit and character of New York City, the melting pot!
The apartment's features include a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a great cozy living room, one full bathroom with tub and shower, two bedrooms with queen size beds, 1 bedroom with a bunk bed, and a queen size air mattress that can be used in the living room. And the apt has wifi and AC.
We are centrally located between the 7th and 5th Avenue shopping corridors. Thrift stores, book stores, natural food stores, etc. are all around you. Don't forget Prospect Park (Brooklyn's version of Central Park) is only 4 blocks away. And on Wed and Saturday the Park Slope Greenmarket brings local produce and agriculture right to our neck of the woods just a few blocks away. Sightseeing nearby includes Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Atlantic Avenue, which are all easily commutable via train or cab, even walking!
For those who are interested in visiting NYC, the subway is only 3 blocks away (R) where you can get into lower Manhattan within 12 minutes or Midtown in 25 minutes. The R train is literally less than a 5 minute walk and only a 2 station connection to the 2,3,4,5,N,R,B,D,Q (basically every train you'll need) train station. The F train is also only 7 blocks away.
However, truth be told with all the great neighborhoods to explore nearby - Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, etc., you may not ever want to leave BROOKLYN!

APT DETAILS: 3 bedroom apartment:
1st bedroom = Comfortable Queen size bed with crisp cotton sheets, dresser, bedside table and chair. (sleeps 2)
2nd bedroom = Queen Size bed with crisp cotton sheets. (sleeps 2). This room is quite small so the bed takes up all the room except for the dresser.
3rd bedroom = bunk beds (two twin size beds). This room is quite small so the bed takes up all the room.
Fabulous artistic living room with comfortable full size sofa with dining area that connects to the fully equipped kitchen.
Can we blown up and used in the living room.
Fully supplied bathroom with full tub, shower and towels.
*Apartment- Comfortable spacious rooms. The apartment boasts a light filled eat-in kitchen with stove, microwave, oven, fridge, and toaster. A large circular table easily fits 4-6 people. A spacious Living room with comfortable couch, wifi, flat screen TV for playing movies (no TV service - just DVDs), and 2 chairs. There is also a small desk for your convenience.
* Lovely, Sunny, well-equipped, quiet apartment in Park slope coffee maker, microwave, 100% cotton fresh towels and bed linens. All you need is a change of clothes, toiletries, and personal items.

The rate quoted is for 6 guests. A queen size Aero bed is available upon request. Plus there is a one time $99 cleaning fee that must be paid at check-in. That fee is given to the cleaning person who prepares the apartment for your stay.

Everything in the apartment is available for you. The host does not live full time on the premises so you will have the place entirely to yourself!

Best Brooklyn neighborhood. Please do an internet search on all Park Slope has to offer.
Great transportation. 3 blocks from the R train. 8 blocks to the F train. 1 block from either the 7th Ave or 5th Ave bus lines.
Other Things to Note
Looking forward to hosting you! We utilize a key code for entry to the apartment (no keys needed!). I will email you the key code the day before your arrival. Pls use the code to open door and use it when u leave the apt to lock door. Please make sure whenever you leave the apt to turn the knob on the lock after you enter the code, otherwise, it isn't locked! For your convenience there is an additional lock inside the apartment for your use when you are home.
Please let me know if you have questions about anything. Clean towels and bath mats are folded on the shelves in the bathroom. Please leave used towels on the floor in the bathroom when you depart.
Clean kitchen towels are folded on the shelf in the kitchen.
Extra bed linens are located in the closet in the hallway.
There are brooms next to the refrigerator and a vacuum in the hall closet.
This is a non-smoking apartment.
Please remove all garbage from the apartment when you check out and leave it bagged in the blue garbage cans provided out front. Also please strip beds and make a pile of used linens and towels in the bathroom.
Please remember to turn down the AC/heat when you are not in the apartment. Thanks.
About the Host, Brennan & Rik
We are friendly Hosts based in Rhinebeck, Brooklyn and Margaretville, New York.
Brennan is a former staff and freelance writer who contributed frequently to Martha Stewart Living, Baby/Kids, and Weddings; The New York Times; House & Garden, Organic Style; and Country Living magazines. She received her M.F.A. from New York University and her undergraduate degree from Vassar College.
Brennan's previous pursuits include the successful renovation of more than 20 homes in Brooklyn, New York as a contractor and an investor. She is an avid reader, cook and gardener. She enjoys restoring furniture and is an active collector, recycler, up-cycler, thriftier, and estate sale addict. Select pieces of her collections can also be seen in the unique decorative details of all of her homes.
Rik is a talented and accomplished photographer, always viewing the world as if through the lens of his ever-ready camera. His work can be seen on his etsy page "Photophilosography" and all of his work in our homes is available for sale - so please inquire. Rik received his undergraduate degree from Dutchess Community College where he worked for many years as a beloved photography instructor. After a 9 year stint in the health care industry, he now devotes himself full time to the pursuit of self-sufficiency, photography and home renovations.
