Beach, Bed, Bath, and PARKING!

Apartment - Private room · Montana Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90403, United States

This happy, sunshiny room is a mere three blocks from the beach complete with incredible Southern CA sunsets :-). It's got a dedicated parking space, and a private bathroom. It's a share, so it also comes with ME! (Lucky you - ha, ha)

The Space

Hi there, I have a happy sunshiny room to rent that comes with a private (fully stocked) bathroom, and a FREE PARKING SPACE!

Having recently moved to Santa Monica from Scotland, I can tell you that it's a great place to visit! If you want to stay 3 blocks from the beach, and 3 blocks from the 3rd Street Promenade then this is the place for you. Montana Avenue is also a great place to find shops, cafes, and any amenities you would need. I know LA is all about driving, but I walk everywhere! As a newcomer to Santa Monica myself I'm just beginning to explore the place so we can compare notes. You're also only minutes away from Venice and Malibu - two of my favorite places to hang out.

Walk to the 3rd Street Promenade, the Santa Monica Pier, hang out in Palisades Park to watch the sunset, or take a run on the Ocean Front Walk. There are loads of restaurants, movie theaters, shops, yoga studios, Whole Foods, and cafes within a few blocks of my apartment. Enjoy Santa Monica's world famous farmers market Wednesday and Saturday. Or walk down to Main Street on the Ocean Front Walk and hit the shops. This location is ideal if you ask me - that's why I live here!

In the event that you do have a car I also have a dedicated gated parking space for you - this may not sound like much, but in Santa Monica free parking is like gold.... :-)

This is an apartment share -you have your own bedroom with TV + Smart Blu Ray Player, Wifi, Coffee Table, and your own private bath. currently I work from home, but that could change at any moment.

As a note - just to manage expectations - I don't provide breakfast (or any meals at all :-)) but the kitchen is fair game, and there is always coffee and most of the time some fresh fruit. Other than that feel free to use the kitchen to prepare your own food.

Guest Access

All guests have their own bedroom and bathroom... and you have access to the main living area as well as the kitchen. The only place off limits is my bedroom and bathroom :-)

Interaction with Guests

I work from home - this might be a 'con' for you because I am here a lot. I promise to leave you to your day, however, I am here to provide any service you need. And we might even make friends!

Getting around

Santa Monica is totally walkable... 3 blocks from the beach (you have to go down the stairs and over the bridge but it's a straight shot) 3 blocks from 3rd street promenade, and right on Montana. There are also bike rentals in the area, and I walk to Venice on a regular basis on the beach path

  • We had a great stay with Christina in Santa Monica earlier this week. It was a lovely clean and welcoming apartment in a great location near the beach, shopping and the sightseeing bus tour! Christina was very friendly and I'd definitely recommend to others.

  • I had a really great time at Christina's place. Her apartment is neat and cosy, the guest room and bathroom clean and comfy and Christina did everything she could to make sure I feel welcome and was a very friendly host! I would come back any time.

  • Christina was an amazing host. She made arrangements to allow me to stay at an extreme last minute situation. While, I only saw her the first night upon arrival, she is a gracious host and the place was just as described! The garage parking spot is great, as once you park you can walk anywhere in town and get to the beach within a matter of minutes. I highly recommend staying at Christina's during your stay in Santa Monica.

  • Would really recommend a stay in Christina's apartment! It's a super nice place in a great location very close to the beach!

If you don't have a car you can do like me and rent a bike and easily get around Santa Monica, Venice and even go on a bike ride out to Malibu.

Christina's has a great eye for detail and just being welcomed with towels, soap and candy on the bed was such a nice touch.

  • Christina was a wonderful host who was welcoming and accommodating! She showed me a great hike in the area. Her place is in a perfect location close to the beach and a short walk to stores. The room was exactly as advertised and parking was a breeze (amazing to have a parking spot in Santa Monica!) I would definitely return this place is a gem for the location, price and parking and a great host. Thanks Christina!

  • My first stay in LA was at Christinas place in Santa Monica. I spent 8 days, which is a long time in one spot and I had a great stay with Christina.

The location is great, close to the beach and PCH, a nice walk over to 3rd street, and if you like to stretch your legs a bit (as i do), head up to the 16th and Montana area for another fab area of cafe's and shops.

The place is clean with plenty of space.

Loved LA - i will be back :)

  • Christina is a great host. The room is bright, beautifully decorated and exactly as advertised. For a single person, or a couple, it's a just right. The apartment is on a quiet street but close enough to the beach and to downtown Santa Monica (about a 10-20 minute walk to downtown or the beach. Though if you've never been to Santa Monica: the beach requires a walk down a staircase and across a bridge over a roadway. The famous Santa Monica pier can be reached a quick jog or a leisurely walk of just over a mile along Palisades Park). Christina provided suggestions for activities nearby and was extremely accomodating to my much-changing schedule. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Los Angeles area.

About
I'm an American interior designer/television host recently relocated from Glasgow back to the US. The place I currently hang my hat is sunny Santa Monica CA . My hobbies include: sailing, yoga, working out, film/TV, and of course travel. As a newcomer to LA I can honestly say I was more than pleasantly surprised at how friendly and easy going the city is. Beach living is simply the best, and I've taken full advantage of it 3 blocks from the water in Santa Monica.
