About this listing

The space

Our sleeping accommodation comprises of of three bedrooms, two of which have their own private en-suite with shower. There is also a third communal bathroom. In total we can accommodate up to 6 people, plus a cot if required.

We have two reception rooms for our guests to unwind in. The Parlour is a traditional country-style reception room, complete with stone walls and exposed beam ceiling. You can play a board-game or two in front of the wood-burning stove, or simply snuggle up on a comfy couch with a book from our dresser! The second reception room is called the Sunroom with good reason. With large windows on three sides, this room enjoys the sun all day long and well into the evening. The Sunroom is a dining room /living room and boasts a high wood-paneled ceiling, wood-burning stove and original stone wall. You can also access to our sun-deck from here.

You will have use of the entire house and grounds for the duration of your stay. Ample parking is provided.

We are easily contactable via email / phone and will be in touch with potential guests before and after booking. We are located in Dublin so there may be the odd occasion where a neighbour will meet our guests on our behalf.

Barntown is a quiet and tranquil country setting, yet only a short drive to all the great amenities the sunny South East of Ireland has to offer. Located just 5 kilometres from Wexford town and just off the N11 and N25, we are an ideal base for exploring this historic area.

Although only 5 KM from Wexford town and easily accessible by taxi, we would highly recommend your own transport, there's ample parking available.

We are set in over an acre of grounds and are located on the Three Rocks Hiking Trail.

The farmhouse was amazing! It was a great place to get together with family and sit back and relax. Eroin and Sharon were available to answer all questions before and during our stay. This is an ideal place to stay and travel to many must see sites in Ireland.

The farmhouse was a home from home and made our stay with a 8 month old and 23 month old so comfortable . We hadn't realised there was no bath but the boys loved their nightly Splash in the kitchen sink Upon arrival there was milk and biscuits and Mary very kindly brought some beautiful homemade cakes We stayed for a family wedding at the Ferrycarrig and the location was perfect We took the hosts recommendations on board and loved the beaches at Rosslare and CUrracloe. There are also some good indoor play centres for rainy days and despite being out of season, the secret wildlife park was a fun day out Communication both prior and during our stay was quick and informative Couldn't have hoped for better hosts or accommodation for our 1st Airbnb experience

Beautiful house in a very private setting. Everything we needed to know about the house was provided. The restaurant and activity suggestions were very useful. Location of the house was very good too. There's an absolutely gorgeous hike within walking distance and Wexford was only about 5 minutes away. Also of note was the fact that when we had a little trouble finding the location of the house, we contacted the owners through the Airbnb app and they responded within seconds to help us out. I highly recommend staying here if you want to see the sunny southwest of Ireland!

We had a perfect five-night stay at Sharon and Eoin's gorgeous farmhouse. The house was peaceful, cozy, and spotlessly clean. We simply loved being there. It truly felt like a home rather than a holiday letting - we actually felt homesick for the house after we left! Our bed was comfortable with fresh linens and extra blankets. The kitchen is well appointed with all the cookery and cutlery you need, plus a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Sharon and Eoin were the ideal hosts. They were very helpful and kept in touch, with clear instructions for accessing the property. They left lovely personal touches: we stayed over Christmas and they left us Christmas treats and even put up a decorated Christmas tree and garlands! We were so touched. The milk, tea/coffee and firewood/firelighters were appreciated, and they had turned the heating on for us before our arrival. We will be back again as soon as possible - we're already planning our return visit. Thank you, Sharon and Eoin.

We arrived to find Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits as well as some non alcoholic apple cider in the fridge. The farmhouse is very well equipped for everything a family needs. Very comfortable and very close to Wexford town and all the restaurants and bars. Lots of useful information/suggestions of things to do in the local area. Unfortunately it rained quite a lot while we were there ( I would suggest taking umbrellas, when visiting Ireland) so were unable to sit outside in the lovely garden and enjoy it. An ideal place for kids with the garden swing and play area. Would definitely go back. Ideal for larger families

Our stay at Hillbrook lived up to expectation. Description on web page is accurate. A very nice house in a peaceful location, spacious, clean, well equipped. Great outdoor space. A short drive into Wexford. Welcoming fire in sitting room on arrival a nice touch. Hosts were very helpful and easy to contact. We look forward to our next opportunity to stay in Hillbrook.
