ABOUT THE GARDEN AND THE FACILITIES IN GENERAL:
***FREE*** IN-HOUSE LAPTOP USE

The space is simple and you will have everything you need, but no more than this. You will be safe, welcomed, respected, and loved for who you are - all persons may find refuge here: I have never turned anyone sincerely invested on the path away, never.
The garden is shared: sometimes 2, 3, and 4 in a small studio - the operating maxim has always been "KEEP IT COOL" and indeed it always has been for those who are free from judgement and eager to learn for themselves about others and teach others of themselves: boarders are often very diverse and I have hosted people from all over the world: ALL 7-CONTINENTS.
As limited as the phenomenal physical space is, the essential profound space has always been expansive and infinite - encompassing and penetrating all who have passed through with it's light... and when open to receive and willing to feel - the transformations I have witnessed people undergo has been nothing short of breathtaking and miraculous.

LIVELY AND ENGAGING CONVERSATIONALIST: PHILOSOPHER-VISIONARY
Looking forward to meeting you; be well (and smile...will 'ya!).
Boston on a budget sometimes has wonderful surprises. Although not much more than a warm bed in a shared room, our host (Jon) makes a terrific conversationalist. This is why hotels will NEVER beat the AirBnB experience. Shine on!
Nice place and great host. Jon is a really easy going guy and he'll help you with anything.
My stay at Jon's was one of the most amazing I had for years.
Great person; really easy to talk to ... and an interesting study project.
Made my first Boston experience way much better!
Staying at Jon's place is my the most memorable experience while I was traveling to US. The place is comfortable, however don't expect a hotel kind of room or service. Yet to me it's enjoyable, mostly from the amount of conversation that I had with Jon.
While you stay, you will be well equipped with whatever you need (the place is near subway and bus station. Jon will provide towel and also glass to use).
I will definitely stay at his place again when I am in Boston.
Jon is a quirky, kind , and accommodating host. His place is cozy and comfortable, but if you're looking for personal space these digs are not for you... I really enjoyed my stay there.
My stay at Zen Garden Crown Jewel surpassed my expectation. It was the best "bang for your buck" as we Americans say. As a world traveler, Jon has a genius for hospitality and efficiency. The air mattress was more comfortable than my own bed. Although the space is small, I never noticed. Perfectly designed, arranged, to keep two delightful guest, plus myself and Jon comfortable. He was a joy. I came way too early and forgot to call. Yet, he was there to accommodate me. His directions were perfect, easy to get to on public transportation from Logan Airport. He told me exactly what to expect. How to keep shower curtain inside the tub, dry off in tub etc. in a tone that was so gentle, kind. He even called the cab company for me as my friend had an emergency, sudden death in family and could not pick me up at the Zen Crown. Jon, in my estimation, was a real gentleman and a scholar. I would highly recommend Crown Jewel if you are on a budget, or short stay. I would certainly return there. Highly recommend any and all if you are flexible, enjoy quiet, privacy and ambiance. Also was in walking distance to Harvard Square, MIT. All Public Transportation.. Spent two enchanting evenings sleeping early, up and out. Kudos to Jon, Most grateful , Eileen O'Donnell
Had a very memorable and pleasant short stay in Boston all thanks to Jon. Jon is very compassionate and trustworthy. So one feels very comfortable and it all feels like you are amongst a bunch of friends. Would especially remember the interesting conversations we had during the little time i spent at Jon's place. I also faithfully followed the itinerary he chalked out for me to spend my day and ended up loving the city.
Jon, if I am ever in Boston again, I am meeting you my friend!
I recently visited Boston for a massage course. I stayed with Jon for ten days, and will definitely look to do so again on subsequent trips. The location was very handy for one of my classes, and not a bad ride to the other, very near a t stop, and had good access to all parts of Boston. Jon was helpful, energetic, and a wealth of knowledge for on thing I may need. You are living in Close quarters, but everything is spotless, and he has meeting you basic needs down to an art form. As I was very busy while I was there I really only needed a comfortable place to lay my head and for the price that was What I expected, But Jon definitely went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I would Highly recommend especially to anyone who is vising Boston for a short time, and would like an affordable home away. He even managed to get me parking permits for parking in Somerville, though next time I may come without a car, because parking elsewhere in Boston can be tedious, though I had no problems parking near the property.
Would like to give Jon a big Thank you and wish him luck on his future enterprises. And hope I get the chance I the future to Enjoy Boston and stay again at his Zen Garden Apartment.
Boston is already a beautiful city, with a lot to do and a lot to absorve. I took a deeper dive by staying with Jon. Even if I'm a quiet guy, I've always had a thing for thought provoking conversations and he's full of them. The space itself is really good for travellers and it has a charming intimacy to it.
Really enjoyed my stay
