Hi, We're Jenny & Pete. We're two thirty something professionals working in Dublin. We love the idea of Airbnb as a unique way of seeing new places and also of meeting new interesting people by welcoming them into our home.
We are renting a spacious double room in our large two bedroom apartment. The room has a double bed and lots of storage space, including a fitted wardrobe. There is also a television, alarm clock, hair dryer, an extension lead and plug adaptors (European and American) for any electrical items which guests might bring. There is also space in the bedroom for a single air mattress (we supply this with sheets/duvet/pillows) to accommodate a third guest.
Guests will have solo use of the main large private bathroom complete with toilet, basin, bath/shower. Clean linen, towels (body/hair) and toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/soap/toothpaste) will be provided for your stay.
The apartment also has:
- Cable TV and DVD player in bedroom
- Large flat screen TV with Apple TV & Netflix available in living room
- Playstation 3 & Nintendo Wii with collection of games available in living room
- Large collection of DVD's and books
- Fast wireless internet throughout
- Underfloor and ceiling central heating
- Large comfy living room with two large couches
- Fully equipped kitchen (oven/grill/hobs, George Foreman grill, sandwich/panini maker, smoothie blender, filtered water, toaster, electric kettle, Nespresso frother, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher etc.)
- Utility room (clothes washing machine - free laundry detergent and softener available, clothes dryer, clothes drying rack, ironing board & iron)
- Patio with table and chairs
- Use of MacBook Air laptop when free
All of which you have access to as a guest!
Guests will be provided with a full set of apartment keys and access codes, including a key for their room.
We will also provide brochures and guides for some of Dublin's top attractions in your room and are happy to answer any questions you might have about any of these.
The apartment is located on the ground floor so there is no requirement to use the stairs or lift.
While we cannot provide parking with the apartment there is sometimes free parking in the apartment complex. There is also free on street parking around the corner from the complex - 1 min walk.
Interaction with Guests
We look forward to welcoming guests into our home and can offer advice on lots of greats things to do in Dublin. If there is anything else you would like to know in advance please just ask us!
The area of Clontarf is a lovely safe suburb located on the coast just 10 minutes north of Dublin city center. Its location with great restaurants, shops, pubs, coffee shops, parks and the seafront promenade make it an ideal place to stay on your trip to Dublin.
The renowned Bull Island beach and bird sanctuary is nearby and is great for swimming, kite surfing, jogging and dog (website hidden) Anne’s Park, Fairview Park and local village shops are all within 5 - 10 mins walk from the apartment.
Three great bars (world famous Harry Byrne's and The Yacht) are just three minutes walk away from the apartment. There is also a lovely deli/cafe just four mins walk away. It is just a 5 min walk to the promenade by the sea which is great for joggers and walkers with views all along the sea front.
Clontarf also has a rugby club, cricket club, tennis courts, golf courses (one inland club - Clontarf and two links courses - Royal Dublin and St. Anne's), a GAA club, and a sailing club.
The beautiful north side scenic fishing villages of Howth and Malahide which are both packed with fantastic restaurants and bars can be reached easily from Clontarf by bus or train. As are the theatres: The Abbey, The Gate, Project Arts Centre, The Olympia, Grand Canal.
The apartment is also ideally located for events taking place in Croke Park and the O2.
There is a bus stop directly outside the main gates of the apartment with buses that will take you both north and south of Dublin City. It's only a 10 minute bus trip to Dublin city centre itself.
It is also a short walk to Clontarf Road Dart (train) Station which will also take you both north and south of the city.
We can offer guests use of a 'Leap' travel card which will allow them to avail of reduced bus, rail and tram fares during their stay.
There is no smoking indoors, but feel free to use the patio, please dispose of cigarette butts in an outdoor bin.
Please be clean and respectful of our neighbours and each others space.
Guests should ensure that all doors and windows are locked when leaving the apartment.
Only the agreed people are to stay in the room - please don't bring strangers back.
We can sometimes be flexible with check in and out times. We do work 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday so please just let us know your arrival and departure times as far in advance as you can and we will try to accommodate your plans if possible!
Other than that have a wonderful stay and make yourself at home!
We had a great stay at Jenny's and Pete's. We arrived around midnight and Pete welcomed us very quickly and with a warm tour of the house. The place and pur room were really neat and comfortable with our own bathroom. There was lots of information on Dublin tourist attractions and even supplied us with bus cards. Thank you Jenny and Pete for a great stay.
Jenny und Pete waren super Gastgeber und wirklich sehr zuvorkommen. Das Zimmer war großartig - ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt. Das Bad war sehr sauber und modern. Vielen Dank nochmal an euch!

We had a very good time at Jenny's and Pete's Apartement.
They offered us our private bathroom and we felt very comfortable.
Although we arrived very late Pete was there to explain us how to get around and provided us with all important information.
The apartement is located very nice not only to visit the city but also to do some trips to the norther landscape.
We had 2 great days in dublin and we have to thanks jenny and pete for giving us some important infos and an awesome and special place to stay. The room and bathroom are even better than the photos, everything is clean and confortable.
From the house it's possible to arrive in city centre in less than 10 minutes.
On the last day we were so sad to leave, that's why we'll be back soon and we want to be again at jenny and pete's place (: thank you.
We had an amazing experience at Jenny and Petes place. They were very accommodation, respectful, and SUPER helpful with everything.
Their home had everything needed for a good stay and the bus is only about 10 minutes from the City Center.
Would definitely recommend this to a group of 2 or 3 traveling through Dublin!

About the Host, Jenny & Pete
Hi, We're Jenny & Pete. We're two thirty something professionals working in Dublin. Jenny is a Dublin native, originally from Howth, and has been living in Clontarf for the past 10 years. Pete is originally from Roscommon in the Midlands but has been living in Dublin for over 12 years and knows his way around!
We enjoy reading, films and the cinema, seeing live music and theatre, running, rugby, football, swimming and travelling.

Good local Irish bar - great pint of Guinness!
Nice Italian restaurant.

Local 'Dart' Station for traveling into the city center and both north and south of the city.
Not an actual casino but a beautiful 18th century neo-classical buildings and a national monument - entry is just €3.00

Irelands National Theatre synonymous with playwrights such as William Butler Yeats and Sean O'Casey
Former seat of British rule in Ireland the original building dates from c.1200. The nearby Chester Beatty Library is also worth visiting (Check exact location as map is incorrect)

Dublins main street has many landmarks inlcluding the spire, the GPO and numerous statues of Irish historical figures. Many of the cities transport links converge in this area
