Hi, I'm Jenny. I'm a thirty something professional working in the NGO sector. A Dublin native, I'm originally from Howth but I've been living in Clontarf for the 10 years. I love the idea of Airbnb as a unique way of seeing new places and also of meeting new interesting people by welcoming them into my home.
I'm renting a spacious double room in my large two bedroom apartment. The room has a double bed and lots of storage space, including a fitted wardrobe. There is also a television, alarm clock, hair dryer, an extension lead and plug adaptors (European and American) for any electrical items which guests might bring.
Guests will have solo use of the main large private bathroom complete with toilet, basin, bath/shower. Clean linen, towels (body/hair) and toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/soap/toothpaste) will be provided for your stay.
The apartment also has:
- Cable TV
- DVD player
- Apple TV & Netflix account
- fast wireless internet
- use of MacBook Air laptop when free
- underfloor and ceiling central heating
- large comfy living room with two large couches
- fully equipped kitchen (oven/grill/hobs, microwave,
fridge/freezer, dishwasher etc)
- utility room (clothes washing machine, clothes dryer,
ironing board & iron)
- patio, hall and apartment alarm.
All of which you have access to as a guest!
There is a bus stop directly outside the main gates of the apartment with buses that will take you both north and south of Dublin City. It's only a 10 minute bus trip to Dublin city centre itself.
It is also a short walk to Clontarf Road Dart (train) Station which will also take you both north and south of the city.
The area of Clontarf is a lovely safe suburb located on the coast just 10 minutes north of Dublin city center. Its location with great restaurants, shops, pubs, coffee shops make it an ideal place to stay on your trip to Dublin.
The renowned Bull Island beach and bird sanctuary is great for swimming, kite surfing, jogging, dog walking and only 15 minutes down the (website hidden) Anne’s Park, Fairview Park and local village shops are all within 5 - 10 mins walk from the apartment.
Three great bars (world famous Harry Byrnes, The Yacht and Wrights) and an award winning restaurant (Downstairs) are two minutes walk away from the apartment. It is just a 5 min walk to the promenade by the sea which is great for joggers and walkers with views all along the sea front.
Clontarf also has a rugby club, cricket club, tennis courts, golf courses (one inland club - Clontarf and two links courses - Royal Dublin and St. Anne's), a GAA club, and a sailing club.
The beautiful scenic fishing villages of Howth and Malahide which are both packed with fantastic restaurants and bars can be reached easily from Clontarf by bus or train. As are the theatres: The Abbey, The Gate, Project Arts Centre, The Olympia, The O2, Grand Canal.
I look forward to welcoming guests into my home and can offer advice on lots of greats things to do in Dublin. If there is anything else you would like to know in advance please just ask me!
I've recently been in dublin for a long weekend with my girlfriend and this city was amazing. jenny was a good, friendly, helpful host in a perfectly clean appartment. we liked it much there.
Take a walk to the sea promenade, fetch some beers in cool pubs nearby or just hang out in Temple Bar. Awesome.
The reservation was canceled 26 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We would definitely recommend staying at Jenny's place for a stay in Dublin. It was in such a good location, easy enough to get into the city centre and had everything we needed.
Jenny was a lovely host. She was very accommodating, made us feel very comfortable and very at home. She was also very helpful!
We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend Jenny's airbnb to everyone!
Jenny had all the arrival information and directions well organized so that navigating the city to her place was easy and stress free. She was gracious, accommodating and made us very welcome. The quiet location was a refuge for us and we enjoyed our stay even with falling sick while there. Jenny's descriptions of distances to city centre, neighborhood pubs and restaurants are all accurate. I would stay with her again in a second.
Jenny was a great host, very prompt with her responses and always there if you need anything. The room was great with a really comfy bed. Also we had, wi-fi and TV for when we were at the flat. Towels, robes and toiletries were at our disposal and also we had a bathroom and toilet to ourselves. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe, right next to a bus station and a great pub and also in close distance to the train station that takes you to town. There were also restaurants and shops, as well as, a great walking space along the canal nearby. We had a great time and enjoyed our holiday in Dublin to the fullest!
Jenny is a great host. I can really recommend staying there. Jenny is super friendly, my room, my bathroom and the flat was super clean and Jenny was always very, very helpful. I felt really very welcome. Besides all this, I ran really recommend as well visiting the nice pub just around the corner (I really liked this pub).
Jenny was a great host, and her apartment was clean and comfortable. I'm very happy to have stayed there! Btw, there is a fantastic old pub just a block away.
I can most certainly recommend staying with Jenny!
During my entire stay at her place she was both very helpful and considerate.
I was welcome to use the facilities of her house any time I wanted.
During my busy time with work in Ireland Jenny's hospitality was a major help for me.
I like Jenny's flat - cozy and comfortable decoration. The room I stayed is nice and looks exactly the same as what photo shows. Thanks to Jenny, I have good rest there :)
Friendly, considerate, and easy to communicate with, and provided the perfect place to stay for my visit. Highly recommended.
