Hi, I'm Jenny. I'm a thirty something professional working in the NGO sector. A Dublin native, I'm originally from Howth but I've been living in Clontarf for the 10 years. I love the idea of Airbnb as a unique way of seeing new places and also of meeting new interesting people by welcoming them into my home.

The Space

I'm renting a spacious double room in my large two bedroom apartment. The room has a double bed and lots of storage space, including a fitted wardrobe. There is also a television, alarm clock, hair dryer, an extension lead and plug adaptors (European and American) for any electrical items which guests might bring.

Guests will have solo use of the main large private bathroom complete with toilet, basin, bath/shower. Clean linen, towels (body/hair) and toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/soap/toothpaste) will be provided for your stay.

Guest Access

The apartment also has:
- Cable TV
- DVD player
- Apple TV & Netflix account
- fast wireless internet
- use of MacBook Air laptop when free
- underfloor and ceiling central heating
- large comfy living room with two large couches
- fully equipped kitchen (oven/grill/hobs, microwave,
fridge/freezer, dishwasher etc)
- utility room (clothes washing machine, clothes dryer,
ironing board & iron)
- patio, hall and apartment alarm.

All of which you have access to as a guest!

Interaction with Guests

There is a bus stop directly outside the main gates of the apartment with buses that will take you both north and south of Dublin City. It's only a 10 minute bus trip to Dublin city centre itself.

It is also a short walk to Clontarf Road Dart (train) Station which will also take you both north and south of the city.

The Neighborhood

The area of Clontarf is a lovely safe suburb located on the coast just 10 minutes north of Dublin city center. Its location with great restaurants, shops, pubs, coffee shops make it an ideal place to stay on your trip to Dublin.

The renowned Bull Island beach and bird sanctuary is great for swimming, kite surfing, jogging, dog walking and only 15 minutes down the (website hidden) Anne’s Park, Fairview Park and local village shops are all within 5 - 10 mins walk from the apartment.

Three great bars (world famous Harry Byrnes, The Yacht and Wrights) and an award winning restaurant (Downstairs) are two minutes walk away from the apartment. It is just a 5 min walk to the promenade by the sea which is great for joggers and walkers with views all along the sea front.

Clontarf also has a rugby club, cricket club, tennis courts, golf courses (one inland club - Clontarf and two links courses - Royal Dublin and St. Anne's), a GAA club, and a sailing club.

The beautiful scenic fishing villages of Howth and Malahide which are both packed with fantastic restaurants and bars can be reached easily from Clontarf by bus or train. As are the theatres: The Abbey, The Gate, Project Arts Centre, The Olympia, The O2, Grand Canal.

Getting around

I look forward to welcoming guests into my home and can offer advice on lots of greats things to do in Dublin. If there is anything else you would like to know in advance please just ask me!

  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our trip to Dublin. Jenny made this trip nice and convenient thanks to her cosy apartment. Everything was provided: from the toothpaste to the UK adaptator ! and there is even a little "welcoming book" where everything is explained for guests (how to use... where to go... what's available...), a very useful tool ! We had a chance to talk to our host a bit; she was very friendly and quite flexible. She did not spend a lot of time in the apartment... which was in the end even more convenient for us ! The apartment is located outside the center of Dublin and the area is nice and quiet (but you have restaurants, shops and a gorgeous pub nearby). Just in front of the residence, the bus stop... every 10 minutes there's a bus heading to the heart of Dublin in less than 15 minutes, until late at night; otherwise, taxi was really cheap over there. A very good value for money plan :) Perfect stay for us! Thank you Pete & Jenny. We definitely recommend this place.

  • Jenny and Pete were very welcoming hosts--my boyfriend and I stayed at their lovely apartment for a couple days while visiting Dublin. It is easy enough to get to city centre via bus--although it is necessary to walk for 10-15 mins to get to town in order to get a bus card (which I definitely recommend if staying in town a couple days or more). The room was clean--private bath--and access to the remainder of the apartment is nice. All in all, a great stay, and just fine for what we were looking for while in Dublin.

  • We had a nice stay at Jenny and Pete's apartment. Well located between the city center and the seaside in Howth. Good transport service with bus around the corner and Dart trainstation in only 10 minutes walk. Jenny was very helpfull.

  • We stayed in Jenny & Pete's place for 4 days. It was really comfortable. Our room and our private bathroom are clean. Good wi-fi connection.
It's well-located. The bus stop to city center is just around corner.
    Than you, Jenny & Pete!

  • Clontarf is a nice area, close to Dublin center. We took the DART along the coastway, up to Bray. It was really nice to be able to "escape" from the animated city center...Even if we did not see much Jenny and Pete, they made sure we wouldn't be lacking of anything. Since they offer a nearly professional - and a very convenient service accommodation - I totally recommend you to stay at their place.

  • Jenny and Pete were really nice. The room was clean and cosy. We had a really good time in Dublin! It takes about 15 min. by bus to get into the city centre...therefor it's a perfect place to stay in for a little city-trip. We would definitly recommend Jenny and Pete!
