Our home is located in a quiet street in 'old Torquay' just 500m from the beach, we love where we live and hope you will enjoy your stay :)
Hello fellow travellers
Our home is located in a quiet street in 'old Torquay' just 500m from the beach (and closest surf break!) Coffee and newspapers are available from the Wyndam hotel at the end of the street, and a 15 minute walk down the beach or The Esplanade will take you to the centre of Torquay for great coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.
We'd like to welcome you to our recently built home where you will have your own private double room with large wardrobe and quality bedding (doona/linen) provided. You have your own bathroom with bath and shower (towels provided), and a separate private toilet. You'll also have exclusive use of a small lounge area with comfy sofa, TV and DVD… there's a bookcase here too with travel books and surf magazines you're very welcome to read.
You're welcome to use our modern, well equipped kitchen and laundry. Outside the house is a neat garden with seating, BBQ, outdoor shower etc. all of which you are welcome to use. We provide guests access to our wireless internet at no charge.
We can offer secure storage of surfboards etc.
There are tennis courts near by also.
You may park your car on our driveway.
Singles and couples are very welcome, sorry no schoolies & NO smoking.
We value our privacy as much as you do & want you to feel at home in our home, however should you need someone to share a beer with, we may be able to help!
You must be pet-friendly as we have a friendly and gentle dog (who lives downstairs only and will not come upstairs to your room).
NOTE for Dec- 12th January- we are looking after another dog as well as our own so please only enquire if your good with dogs, please message prior to booking! Thank you :)
We love where we live! Our street is close to the beach, yet still quiet & peaceful! We think there's nothing better than a walk down the beach in the morning, or a cycle into town for a coffee in one of the many cafe's in Torquay!
Surf beach is a great spot to grab a surf lesson or hire a board & have a go! Also cycle or walk the coastal paths from the bottom of our street as far as you like, maybe as far as Bells Beach & then stop for Lunch in Jan Juc on the way back at Swell (they do the best food there!) or if it's evening hang out at Bird Rock for beers, pizzas etc, it's where you'll find a few locals getting on it at the weekend! Good tunes & atmosphere!
There's also plenty of surf shops & a great surf Museum & heaps of coffee shop's if the weathers not behaving too!
Uber is now in Torquay! Use code MIZTV when you sign up for $20 off your first ride!

Anne was extremely friendly and welcoming. Even though she and her partner were at home during our stay, they gave us privacy and were most generous with a continental breakfast that suited our dietary requirements. The house was spotless and nicely decorated and definitely met our expectations. I recommend this listing to anyone intending to stay in Torquay.
Anne is a lovely friendly host who has a beautiful house in a crisp clean modern style with lots of room. The bedroom is upstairs in the house with a little area outside on the landing but tucked away for watching tv or sitting reading. They have a beautiful dog called Pepper who is an absolute sweetie, and i would take her home with me if i could. the house is near the beach and within walking distance. I had a great time there and would return.
We loved our short stay at Ann's place. The house is beautiful and we had a lovely bedroom and our own bathroom that was spotless. Ann was a great host who couldn't be more helpful, suggested where we could eat and have is free run of her kitchen. We ate at the Torquay Bowls Club . Definitely go there for good food and drink. Would definitely go back to Ann's place.
Anne and Simon's place was great. Clean, organized, quiet and in a lovely setting. They had taken care of providing me with milk and cereal for breakfast, which is essential for those that want to hit the water as soon as possible. The town is great, the atmosphere is pure surf, and Anne and Simon had showers outside (hot and cold!!! Certainly handy during the winter!) and places to keep wetsuits, boards and other life's essentials.
I hope I can find my way here again, and shall definitely stay longer!!
A really beautiful place to stay. The house is perfect and hosts are lovely! I would highly recommend.
Anne was a wonderful host. Her house was absolutely spotless and lovely to stay in. The house was located about 5 minutes walk from the beach and a 5 minute drive into the centre of town. The breakfast was also great and her dog Pepper was really cute and friendly! Would stay again if we are in the area!
As this was our first Airbnb experience we were apprehensive at how the weekend would go.
All our worries melted away the moment we meet Simon, his easy going manner made us feel right at home.
Our accommodations were first class, and we were free to use the kitchen and laundry if we so wished.
Only a short walk to the beach and shops made our stay extremely pleasurable.
