Interaction with Guests
I like to get to know people to extent that they want to be known. That is, I prefer interactive people, but if you need more privacy, no problem. I have been a SV techno type to manager and entrepreneur.
The downtown has a Farmers' market weekends. Lots of great restaurants, coffee houses, Tide house, live music. Easy to get to the Train to catch a Giants game or other SF attraction. I was surprised how quick the trains are to get to your destination. Light rail goes right to the LEVI's stadium. Bike trails come right through here. Truly at a hub of activity of any kind, even kite flying.
See above. Also all freeways(phone number hidden)) are literally minutes away. so however you want to travel, it's easy.

Tim is a great host! The room worked out well and would definitely stay again if I'm in Mountain View.
Tim is an honest guy who generally means well.
Unfortunately, he didn't do much research before wrongly accusing my roommate. When I arrived, there was no key under the doormat (as Tim had promised) and I was stranded outside for hours, so my uncle came to help me when someone finally opened the door. He helped me place my luggage and left in 10 minutes. In addition, I had politely negotiated a discount with Tim before arriving and he had agreed to it cordially. This was because I booked for 2 and a half months, for the entire summer. There was no coercion whatsoever.
5 days later, Tim suddenly started accusing me of having said horrible things about his residence, claimed that 4 men came to help me move in (when it was just my uncle), and also claimed that I coerced him for a discount, when our conversation on airbnb (anyone can check if interested) obviously shows that I merely inquired about it and he agreed. Eventually, I explained that none of his accusations were true and he agreed.
Tim also claimed that the guest before us was mad by our "noisy move-in" and left a bad review. However, airbnb showed that the guest was quite happy and left a 4-star review.
But he still wanted me to move out. Without any credible reason. The only wrong thing I did was moving one of the lamps in my room outside as I found it somewhat unsettling and needed space for placing my stuff.
Tim is a nice guy, but I still don't know what motivated him to tell my roommate and I to leave without good reason.
My hunch is that he only wanted short-term guests, but made a long-term stay commitment to me, and backed out by using the reasons above. I would have appreciated an honest explanation far more.
This guy was a bad hombre from the beginning. He pulled on my heartstrings that he and his friend were unable to make high rents here in the Valley, that their "internship would leave them nothing to live on" kind of mullarkey. He pestered and emailed me until I finally gave in. Even then, he kept trying to put things in ambiguous terms so he could later morph what I had said. A few times he succeeded. This male is still immature about the ways of a pleasant and giving society. People like this need to stay in hotels or, simply learn that there is a price to pay for trying to use other people, get every penny and every advantage you can out of them. The price is not always money, here it was relationship. A GOOG intern makes about $25-30K over their 2.5-3 months ( I am a banker , I know) over the summer, so unless he made the worst deal ever, paying the rent should've not been a problem. post mortem: it was obvious he was just overly cheap, immature. Then he claimed that his internship (GOOG) had changed his dates, (GOOG has structure around their interns, he claims they changed dates at last minute, REALLY?).
So I made arrangements for an extra day, which of course he'd have to pay for the extra day-- He wouldn't do it. A fair and appropriate response to his supposed "emergency"- I moved heaven and earth to get a solution in place, adding an extra day onto his stay was a win-win and of course he would be staying as well.
SO he keeps pestering me until I finally made arrangements for someone to let them in early AM, (which I had to pay someone about 1 night's rent) so he and his friends could come early (@ 7:30 am in the morning for) because "he couldn't make it any other way" which was another lie. In retrospect, this male was uber-capable, but not using his resources wisely, looking to take the maximum that he could out of me.
OTHER HOSTS BEWARE!!
I will not go into all the details beyond this-- what this type of person wants is a good mud fight and drama. By my dozens of great reviews, I apologize to my future guests that you have to read about this ( AirBnB told me there would be no reviews of this, either way, so again- HOSTS BEWARE) , but I will be wiser about the takers out there. LET THE HATERS HATE-

The location is excellent- downtown and 2 mins walk from the caltrain station. My stay was very comfortable. Tim was an excellent host. Highly recommended!
Tom's apartment is perfectly located, just one block from Castro and the Mountain View Transit Center. I enjoyed my stay and will be happy to come back in the future.
Tim is an absolutely excellent host. His apartment is huge, well-appointed, and quite comfortable -- and Tim goes the extra mile, and then some, to make the experience great. He offered coffee and snacks (which were a huge help before my interview) and just made my trip in Mountain View smooth and comfortable.
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. An excellent host and an awesome guy.
Tim was an amazing and friendly host. We plan on being back whenever we're in Mountain View!
