Nice apt located in a charming neighborhood, wich looks like a village with its numerous cafés and shops : everything you need can be find in less than 3 mn.
You can enjoy a big living room, an american (open) kitchen with all fournitures, and a quiet bedroom. Oven, wash machine, dish washer, Flat screen TV, WI-FI are at your disposal.
Around the place there is 2 supermarkets, an excellent Bakery with lovely croissants, nice bars, and - because it's France - great cheese and wine shops ! For (french) lovers : you can even find flowers just next to the apt.
All these characetristics are the promess of a great experience in the old typical Paris, only 10 mn direct from center (Chatelet / Hotel de Ville) by subway.
All the apt was renewed recently, and designed by an architect.
- 1mn from subway (l.11), bus.
- 10 / 15 mn from center (Chatelet, Hotel de Ville, Notre-Dame, île Saint-Louis)
- 15mn from Montmartre
- 5 mn to the lovely "parc des Buttes-Chaumont".
great little apartment for a couple of days in paris. its really easy to get in to the city but the neighborhood around the apartment is definitely worth checking out. the apartment has everything you need for two people, really comfortable and clean. we didn't meet mattis as he was out of town but his mother welcomed us and showed us everything, she was really helpful! I would stay here again
Mattis has been very kind, even if we arrive later during night he arranged with some friend of him. Do not forget to ask about the code for the automatic door outside the building, we had a wild first night thanks to that :)
Really nice lounge room, full of commodities, also the bed is comfortable. The only negative side is the bathroom, but it's something that you can handle if you're not too squeamish.
Very nice apartment as described, in a pleasant, decent and convenient location with a direct metro line to downtown!
Mattis was friendly and impecable host!
Recommended and definitly on my list!
Mattis was thankfully able to accommodate us on very short notice. He arrived on time to meet with us, was easy to communicate with, and the place was quite spacious for Paris standards. The only downfalls were that it is not walking distance from the Centre of Paris (although easily accessible by Metro), and the shower and toilet are combined in a room (toilet gets wet when you take a shower). But overall, good value for Paris.
As two Kiwis abroad in Paris our stay in Mattis's apartment was perfect. Mattis responded quickly to our initial request, maintained contact and provided directions to his apartment that were a breeze to follow. As Mattis was working when we arrived we were met by his girlfriend who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful in explaining how things worked in the apartment and how to access places of interest, transport, and local food outlets.
The apartment was spacious for two people, had modern appliances and comfortably met our needs.
The neighborhood was vibrant, safe to move about in and had an abundant selection of bars/brasseries to choose from.
We recommend the apartment to others and hope to stay again next time we get to Paris.
Cheers & thanks Mattis (and Virginie)
Perfect for a vacation ruined by thunderstorms. Felt so homey that I didn't want to leave the apartment. The bakery across the street had phenomenal croissants. Host's mother was kind and accomodating. Fruits were left, beer in the fridge, all the kitchenware you could ever need available. Amazing stay!
