Beach parks are 4 miles away. Can borrow a bike to get around.

1930s neighborhood is be noisy with night frogs, barking dogs, wild roosters. So this may not be a good place for those needing peace and quiet.

The neighborhood is from the 1930s in downtown Hilo. But still has the country-feeling with birds and wild chickens. Barking dogs are the worst.

On the street, there are 2 abandoned, decrepit houses (but not haunted :)

During your stay
Weather permitting, be sure to take a bike ride around HIlo town.
