  • As you approach our home, you will see this beautiful artwork in our front garden. "The Dreamer" is a life-sized pig, hand painted by local artist Abbi Kay. It is part of the Meet your Neighbors campaign by Farm Sanctuary. "A pig raised on a factory farm will go her entire life without ever seeing the sky. Instead, she spends her life dreaming of the moment she walks outside and experiences the world for the first time." See #ThePigPicture or FarmSanctuary.org/neighbors
  • This magical garden path leads to your private apartment. (There are also motion-activated spotlights to help guide your way in the dark.)
  • Your private entrance includes a doormat, porch light, security keypad, and a seasonal plant or decoration.
  • The sofa can fold back into a (firm) sleeping area for one person (up to six feet long). We can provide a mattress topper and additional bedding if we have advanced notice.
  • This is a smart TV, so feel free to use your Netflix or other streaming account. Free Wi-Fi is included. We also provide a chessboard and an assortment of travel brochures.
  • The kitchenette includes a full sink, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The cabinets are natural hickory, and the beautiful live edge wood table is spalted maple, making for a great spot to eat or a convenient workstation. We also keep the apartment stocked with coffee, tea, a variety of beverages, and a variety of snacks.
  • The queen sized bed is accented with tulle fabric and fairy lights to add a little ambience for an enchanted evening. The lights have a remote control where you can put them on a timer to shut off later.
  • Each bedside table has a lamp and a place to plug in a cell phone.
  • We provide a special clock-radio that has optional white noise and other nature sounds. It also has an option to project the time onto the ceiling so you can see it from bed.
  • Queen sized bed has a firm Serta mattress with a pillow top for added softness. One repeat guest who comes to Asheville often on business commented, "I'm convinced that is the most comfortable bed in Asheville."
  • Your private bathroom has a shower (no bath), and we supply a variety of toiletries for your convenience. One guest commented, "These toiletries are even nicer than at the Grove Park Inn!"
  • We include body wash, shampoo, conditioner, a hair dryer, and more.
  • We have tried to anticipate your needs, but please let us know how we may improve our service.
  • The ceiling height in the apartment is 6 and a half feet high. In your private bathroom, the ceiling height is 6'2", and in the shower it is 6'1". Also, the bathroom doorway includes a step up, which is a bit quirky and requires that you watch your head while traversing that doorway. (The height of the doorway is 5 feet 7 1/2 inches.) Thus, if you are very tall, or if you do not care for quirky construction, you may feel more comfortable elsewhere.
  • Our place is only a ten minute walk to West Asheville shops and restaurants, such as Firestorm Books and Sunny Point Café (pictured here), on the corner of Haywood Road and State Street. One frequent visitor to Asheville commented, "Amazing space in the best neighborhood in Asheville."
  • Our home is only a 14 minute drive to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway (pictured here), 10 minutes to the Biltmore Estate, 8 minutes to downtown, and 4 minutes (or a ten minute walk) to West Asheville restaurants and shops.
