Beautiful home in the hills just 10 minutes from Downtown San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly, and the Performing Arts Center. Guests will have a private upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The room has a balcony that overlooks the mountains and valleys of San Luis Obispo.
San Luis Obispo is about half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco, a great stopping point for California explorers.
Montana de Oro and Morro Bay State Parks are about 20 minutes away. Easy day trips can be taken to Paso Robles wine country, Big Sur, and Santa Barbara. Our home has close and easy access to Hwy. 1 and 101.
Be clean, friendly and considerate. Treat our home as if it were your own.
Our experience at Mike and Mary's house was wonderful. The views from the house are stunning and the accommodations are clean, comfortable and spacious. Mike and Mary were responsive, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much, and hope to return someday.
Mary and Mike shared their beautiful home with us for two nights in early February. They were generous hosts who added all the most thoughtful little touches to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The view of the two of the "Seven Sisters" peaks from the bedroom and its balcony was gorgeous. We enjoyed watching deer, quail and even saw a coyote crossing the road up to their property one evening!
We stayed at this beautiful house on a road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles. We had a wonderful stay as Mary and Mike are perfect hosts. They provided such a warm welcome - great to receive after a long drive. A highlight was the view of dawn breaking over the San Luis Obispo countryside from our bedroom window -it was breathtaking. In addition, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the private bathroom well-equipped. Our hosts also provided some local recommendations for places to eat and checkin was very smooth. It couldn't have been any better, thank you!
Everything was as advertised! Beautiful home. Beautiful area. Very peaceful. Mary and Mike were warm and friendly. They gave us space but were welcoming and gracious. We would definitely stay there again.
Our stay could not have been better. What a lovely home - and the view was fabulous. We even saw some interesting wildlife! Thank you for opening your house to us, and also for the convenience of your kitchen and refrigerator. Your suggestions for both our excursions and our meals out were perfect. Mike ' annotated maps were invaluable.
Mike and Mary were amazing hosts. What an incredible thing to do, opening up their spectacular home for people to experience. Their home had the most AMAZING view. We got in pretty late, however were able to watch the sunrise in the morning over the hills of SLO and it was just incredible. Mike and Mary were also great hosts. They made it easy for us to get settled and even had an assortment of foods that we could eat and allowed us use of the refrigerator. They both had some great recommendations for dinner on the main street of San Luis Obispo. We would definitely stay again if we are back in the area. I cant express enough how grateful we were to experience this amazing home.
This is by far one of the most beautiful homes I hv ever been to! It's such a blessing to hv the opportunity to experience living in a home with such spectacular view :) and to hv met wonderful hosts such as Mike and Mary. The variety of snacks, yogurt and coffee in the morning that they hv prepared were much appreciated! I highly recommend their lovely home and would love to come back in the future.
