We greatly enjoyed our stay at Simone's place in the heart of Tuscany! We loved the authentic feel. We felt like we had our own little "castle" in Tuscany. The accomodations were great, and the house is amazing! Quaint, idyllic, and just what you'd think of if you think "Tuscany." Incredible landscape and scenery. The location is great as a base to explore Tuscany from. Simone and his wife Laura are great hosts; very friendly and extremely accomodating! If I ever have a chance to come back to Tuscany, I would definitely want to stay there again.
Had a great stay. The area is very relaxing. There's an old pilgrimage trail a 2 min walk away. There were some sink issues which Simone attended to right away. Friendly attentive host!
Simone and his wife are very friendly hosts ! We appreciated their disponibility and their efforts to speak french with us.
The appartement is partly located in the old castle that they are restaurating and we realy enjoyed the “old-fashioned” charm of all the objects.
Thanks to the garden table near of the appartement we have taken our breakfast and diner outdoor, drinking Chianti and looking at the beautifull Tuscan landscape !
From there, we visited Sienne (15 min by car) and a great par of Chianti. We also do a walk of 2hour on the GR …. which pass next to the house.
We were looking for an authentic Tuscan experience, a bit of the country, close to the towns. The Villa was just that. Well located to Siena, yet in the Tuscan Hills. And an unexpected surprise, we were right on the Via Francigina trail. So ideal for my early morning run and our late afternoon walk before Chianti Classico on the patio overlooking the town. It was breath taking.
Simon and his wife (and son) were so welcoming. And between us all we communicated well. Simone is so passionate about his Villa and about the region. It was inspiring. The recommendation to (email hidden) Dell'Orso. It was excellent and we bought Cheeses and Salami's for a picnic lunch the next days.
The apartment was wonderful. Authentic Tuscan with everything to be self sufficient. It has more than enough room for more people than the two of us. So good for a family with kids.
We wish them all well. And hope to return someday.
Hi Simone, thanks for the stay. It was great. My only suggestion. It was a little cool for us in the apartment. At that time of the year. Would have been great to warm it up a little.
Enjoyed meeting your wonderful family.
Many thanks Clive and Tracey.
