I came here with three friends to climb at the Red for a few days. This place was exactly what we were looking for. Conveniently located, plenty of beds, clean, and well priced. The huge front porch was great for laying out gear and keeping the mess outside. I would definitely come back here again on a future climbing trip.

Myself and 4 friends stayed at Deena's place while on a climbing trip to the Red River Gorge. We stayed at Deena's a few nights as well as Miguel's a few nights. Deena offered us extremely friendly accommodation, a tour of her home made soap shop, as well as a tour of the barn where she had goats and horses (unfortunately, I believe the animals will be relocated in the near future). We also had comfortable night sleeps, a full kitchen/BBQ to cook warm meals, and clean shower/laundry facilities! The house is located near a highway, but we weren't bothered by the noise, it was a soothing soundtrack while relaxing on the covered porch. The larger half of the ranch style home is one communal area with two bunks, two futons, and a day bed that transforms to a king. Plenty of room to play frisbee on the property and only a 15 minute drive to Muir Valley! We would absolutely stay at Deena's again as it is a comfortable alternative to camping during an extended stay in the Red!

We had a lovely trip to Deena's place - spent the week climbing and hiking in the Red River Gorge. We enjoyed quiet time sitting and eating on the front porch, and meeting the animals-dogs, cat, horses and goats. Deena was very patient and kind, taking time out of her busy day to show us around the farm, and let us check-out all the wonderful smelling soaps - we bought a bunch for gifts. Miguels and the Rockhouse restaurants within close driving distance. Muir Valley very close by for climbing as well.

Deena User ProfileDeena is a superhost.

My name is Deena and I'm living my own kind of dream, hand-making wonderful soap and body products from my garden and barnyard! I live on a small farm in rural Kentucky where I raise milk goats. I ride horses and love traveling to new and exciting places around the world.
