You’ll be charmed by this unique peaceful farmhouse in beautiful Shropshire. This 400 year old, timber framed farmhouse is creatively decorated and is full of historic character. With stunning views of the working farm and the tranquil Corvedale, the farmhouse is a real visual treat, perfect for discovering the countryside and picturesque local towns. Sit in the courtyard garden at the front of the farmhouse in the sun and enjoy a freshly ground coffee or cup of tea. The perfect escape!

The space
My beautiful farmhouse is in a tiny hamlet in the heart of our 500 acre working farm. The farmhouse looks out over the farmyard has beautiful views of the gateway to the Corvedale.

Parking is directly in front of the farmhouse and there is a separate doorway to the property, so you will have privacy to come and go.

On entering you will find the dining room where breakfast is laid in the morning. This leads into the lounge with its comfortable seating, views of the garden and hills. In the winter I light the centrepiece wood burner for a warm welcome!

Up the steep wooden stairs you will discover an open landing with the pretty floral door to your cottage style bathroom. Up two steps more, the bedroom can be found.

The very large spacious bedroom is light and bright. Inspired by the Bloomsbury painters, the bedroom furniture is a real feature of the room. The comfortable super king size bed has sumptuous white bedding, quilt and cushions. At the foot of the bed is an Ercol sofa where you can relax and read a book while enjoying the view of the hills through the sash window. There is a smart tv in the room and tea & coffee making facilities with a selection of sweet treats!

Next to the bedroom there is a private cottage style bathroom. Fluffy towels and individual toiletries are are supplied for your stay.

Continental Breakfast is served in the dining room usually on request between 8am-10am. This is included in your stay.

Guest access
The B&B is accessed through it's own front door. You will have the sole use of the dining room, living room, bathroom and bedroom. There will be no other guests during your stay.

The back garden of the farmhouse remains private to our family. There is however a large courtyard garden to the front of the property with beautiful flowers and tables and chairs during the summer which you are welcome to enjoy between 9am-8pm.

I do pop into the dining room to lay the breakfast at the requested time and clear afterwards. Apart from that, you remain private.

During your stay
My family lives in half of the farmhouse. We are usually about the farm or house during your stay and can be contacted in person or by phone text during your stay.

*We try to meet your requests as quickly as possible but we are a farming family and at some times of the year we are busier than others!

Other things to note
My farmhouse is about 400 years old..... We have central heating and wood burning stoves. If you are used to modern heated homes, you may find my farmhouse a little drafty in the colder months! There is an electric blanket and extra bedding available in the wardrobe.

The age of the house also means that there are uneven floors, low ceilings, sloped ceilings, steps to the front door and bedroom. The main staircase is steep but has a good handrail. I find this part of the beautiful charm of the property but please consider this before booking.

We have pet cats and a dog that remain in our half of the farmhouse, however on occasions they do pop across to say hello! We can not guarantee a pet free environment.
