I am excited to share and show off my humble two bedroom apartment a block away from the spectacular and tranquil Lake Merritt!
My apartment is carpeted wall to wall making it very quiet and peaceful.
The building includes all the modern luxuries anyone would desire (dishwasher, laundry room, wifi, living room balcony)
I am a 3 block walk from the AC Transit NL bus that goes into San Francisco
15 minute walk to 19th Street BART
2 block walk to AC Transit bus to UC Berkeley!
I am a five minute walk from the Grand Lake Farmers market that occurs every Saturday.
not to mention "Restaurant Row" on Lakeshore Ave. Tons of great eating and Libations!
Did you know the first bird sanctuary (est. 1870) in the US is a 3 minute walk from my apartment? It's true and it's amazing!
While here, check out a movie at the Grand Lake Theater.
no smoking cigs and nothing loud past 10pm as I have to get up early for work
Street parking only
Steve is a wonderful host, he has many great tips to experience the Bay Area as a local. The house is very clean and in a nice neighbourhood, close to public transport etc. I would definitely recommend going here.
Everything was just perfect.
The apartment is quiet, Steve is very nice and helpful, and the neighborhood is great.
I'll try to come back!
Steve was a great host. He was very helpful. He gave great advises and tips about the San Francisco. The room was very clean and comfortable. Neighborhood is very safe and convenient.
I stayed for 4 nights at Steve's and it was perfect! He was very nice and friendly, but also respectful of my privacy.
The room description and photos are accurate, and all was clean.
The location is amazing! It is just a block away from Lake Merrit, that is beautiful, and there are coffee shops and good restaurants close by. The bus stop is at the corner, and the Bart (subway) it's at 15 minutes walk, but it's a worthy walk because is around the lake. The Bart takes you to San Francisco in only 20 minutes.
I definitely recommend it!!
What I love the most about my staying at Steve's was his cat!! He was adorable!!!!!!
Steve is a warm, kind and gracious host. I stayed at his place for 10 days, while relocating from the East Coast and looking for a new apartment in the area. He has a wealth of information about neighborhoods in SF and Oakland, and some interesting stories about history of the area.
His place was exactly what I was seeking for my needs - a cozy place from which to explore the city for the day. I didn't have a car. The location is great - vibrant, diverse, safe Adams point. 5min walk to the lake, 10min walk to great eats & , 10min walk to the NL bus to SF, and 20min walk to BART.
The room itself is small, but met my needs perfectly, and the kitchen and common areas are open for you to use. I loved his cats. It was fairly quiet, with a couple of cafes just down the street to hang out and work in.
All was good, and I ended up liking the Adams pt area enough to find an apartment nearby.
Steve was a great host, kind and generous and quick to reply to all my inquiries. Everything was as described, the bed was small but comfortable -- overall a great value for the money. This was my first AirBnB experience and I would stay again given the opportunity.
Steve is really nice and gentle. He did everything he could for made me confortable and welcome. The room is perfect and clean. 20 minutes walk from a Bart Station. I highly recommand you to stay at Steve's place. You won't regret it
I like these things: documentaries, history of all sorts, running, bike riding, bourbon
