This is a three bedroom/two bathroom house in Cooper Young. We're offering our back bedroom, technically the master suite, with a private bath. This room is private, cool, and comfortable. There's always coffee in the morning here and you can use the kitchen if you want.
Guests here can expect cleanliness and a funky kind of Southern hospitality (we're from the Pacific Northwest). That might mean homemade ice cream, lemonade or corn bread, depending on the day. Our small basset hound mix might want to cuddle with you on the couch if you look at him the right way.
We have a washer and dryer that is open for use, a parking spot in the driveway, and wireless internet. We keep the temperature reasonable with central heat and air.
We can recommend fun things to do in town and great places to eat! This neighborhood is a wonderful place to walk around or sit on the porch. Walking distance to public transportation and the airport is less than a 15 minute drive away.
We're new to this...but hopefully you'll take a chance on us anyway. =-)
Really nice couple, very hospitable. Enjoyed getting to meet and visit with them, they were very accommodating with our schedule and offered a lot of great info on Memphis. They made every effort to make us welcome and provide anything we needed.
Their home is in a great location and offered a comfortable, relaxed place to stay.
Oh yeah, "Salty" the black lab mix, was a joy to hang out with!
Elise and Leander we're great hosts! Super friendly and welcoming and have a super cute dog! Their house is lovely and very clean. They gave us great suggestions of near-by restaurants and bars and told us about a fun show to go to on Friday night. We had fun talking to you guys! Maybe we'll see you again sometime!

A great room with your own bathroom in a great location! Within walking distance to restaurants, coffee, and more. Bed was comfy, room was clean and lovely. Elise was very kind and we loved spending time with their dog Salty- such a good boy! Will definitely stay again when in Memphis!
Elise & Leander where great hosts and made my first visit to Memphis very enjoyable.
We loved staying with Elise (Leander was out of town for the weekend- we wish we could have met him!). Salty was the best cuddler and guard dog. We loved having a master bedroom which was decorated with pretty lights and album covers! Elise was a great host and very down to earth! We definitely recommend staying here- it's in the Cooper Young area and very close to downtown.
Elise and Leander we great hosts, super friendly and made us feel very welcome in their home, as did Salty, their lovely dog! The house was in a really nice neighbourhood, with some good bars, restaurants and coffee shops just around the corner. The place itself was neat, clean, comfy and really quiet. The room was spacious, the bed comfy and was great to have an ensuite bathroom too. Memphis was quite difficult to navigate and it's very spread out so you really need a car to get about to other parts of the city, but the house was in a good location and it didn't take long to get anywhere.
Nice home in a very quiet Cooper-Young neighborhood. Elise was very welcoming; really made us feel at home. They have a wonderful dog who was lots of fun for us. The location is convenient to nearby cafes and the University.
My partner and I had a fantastic time staying with Elise and Salty! I loved their house, the room was comfy and clean, and we really enjoyed walking around and eating in the neighborhood. Elise is really interesting and I enjoyed meeting her. I wish we could have stayed longer!
Elise's house was very comfortable and in a great location in Memphis. Convenient to many great restaurants, coffee houses, bars and the football stadium. We walked to the Brooks Art Museum and enjoyed the Cooper-Young Beer Fest. We met her dog Salty who is an enthusiastic greeter and host. I wish I had had more time to chat with Elise because the appointments in the house and room were interesting and probably came with stories, but I had a full schedule in and around Memphis. Parking was easy, bed comfortable, neighborhood quiet, hot water plentiful, hostess gracious and accommodating.
We were really lucky to stay with Leander and Elise. There place is in the best neighbourhood in Memphis as far as I could work out. All the cool things and cafes etc that were recommended to us were pretty much in walking distance. It is about 15 bucks for a taxi downtown but I had more fun in cooper young anyhow.
The room itself is terrific because it has an ensuite and washing machine, everything you coulld need.
