Cecilias place was a nice option in the Montezuma areas especially if you have your own vehicle. Walking in and out of town seems unsafe due to the heavily traffic road without sidewalks, but it's just a short 2 minute drive into town. They were responsive and the place was clean with nice AC and a sturdy safe. All felt safe & private.

Cecilia is so very kind, the property is beautiful and private. This was our second time staying on this property and will go back again. What you see in the photos and the description is exactly what you get. Cecilia is very quick about answering any questions or concerns that you may have. Thank you so much :)

Cecilia's place was perfect, even better than the pictures! The place was adorable, clean, comfortable. She was there when we arrived early by bike and allowed us to check in. It was a nice walk up the hill from town, very quiet. The porch was lovely.

Cecilia was a very kind host. The bungalow we stayed at had a very spacious veranda with two comfortable hammocks and patio dining furniture. The kitchen was well equipped, as we were able to cook all of our meals in it while in Montezuma. The pool was very clean and well kept, as were the plants at the property. It was great to know a security guard was patrolling the area nightly as well. The AC in the bedroom was a welcome reprieve from sweaty nights and a safe was provided to safeguard our vital belongings while we were out and about. Overall a great stay and would recommend for travelers. Also, the dogs were very sweet and friendly.

Cecilia and Wolf were great hosts. We were there for a month and they respected our privacy and responded to our requirements. We fell in love with their three dogs and Maggie came to visit daily. Cabana was roomy and clean. Great pool. The location is convenient to Montezuma but highly recommend that you have transportation if you want access to the playas or Zuma (and why else would you be here?). It is only 500m from Montezuma but it feels like 500m straight up if you are walking up the hill. It is steep. If you have a car or ATV no problemo.

Great place! New and clean with good a/c. A little far from town walking but really easy to drive down in 5 mins. Thanks so much, wolf was terrific and we hope to stay again soon! Pura Vida!

Emily and I stayed here on our honeymoon and could not have been happier! The house exceeded all expectations. It is large, clean, and comfortable with lots of amenities, but the real main attraction is a back deck which directly overlooks beautiful jungle canopy. We saw monkeys in our backyard the first day. Later we saw pizote (a kind of coati), iguanas, toucans, geckos, and butterflies, all on the property. And that's just what we could see - we could hear a lot more. Our favourite part of the trip was listening to the jungle sounds at night sipping a cold beer. Although there are other villas within sight, we genuinely felt alone in the Costa Rican jungle. But being alone in the Costa Rican jungle doesn't feel scary or like roughing it because you have glass doors sealing everything out and AC to help you sleep comfortably. Cecilia was a warm and gracious host. She helped us out when the ATM in town swallowed my bank card and made sure we had everything we needed, but gave us lots of space which was nice on our honeymoon. The house is up a steep hill, but realistically that's the trade off for all the privacy you get so close to Montezuma (and it's way less steep than the hill up to the butterfly gardens/delicias area) It's 10mins down and 15mins climbing back up, and it's better to avoid trekking uphill between 11am-3pm, the hottest part of the day. Taxis are available in town but we walked up and down everyday, and used the exercise to justify eating whatever we wanted in town :) We lost weight on our trip. If you're going to Costa Rica to experience nature (comfortably) and you want privacy, and you also want to be close to town and to all of the activities and attractions Montezuma has to offer, this is the best place for you. Emily and I had a magical honeymoon and we hope that other travellers will experience the real-life magic of being in the jungle in this villa in Costa Rica.
