Located in the popular East Nashville neighborhood a hidden garden oasis awaits you as you enter the courtyard through your completely private entrance. The renovated guest cottage, originally a railroad workers home in the mid 1800’s, is a unique hideaway close to downtown and reflects a love of art, gardening and the comforts of your “home away from home”. It is perfect for a single person or couple to enjoy a restful and cozy environment after a full day of visiting Music City.
The guest cottage is run by two culturally experienced, open-minded, world travelers who offer a practical, comfortable and inspired visit for people who, given the correct amenities and location, prefer to take care of themselves.
The cottage features it's own separate entrance in the alley behind the main home.
What you'll find when you get here:
Off Street Parking
Queen Size Bed
Fully Equipped Kitchen
Washer and Dryer
Located just minutes away from lower Broadway’s famous Honky Tonks and the world famous Ryman Auditorium, you are also a short drive from hip restaurants, coffee shops and local drinking establishments near the historic “5 Points” neighborhood. However if you prefer not to drive, the public transit system is 2 blocks away. The cottage is just under 4 miles to I-24 making it an easy access to venture out and tour other parts of Nashville and/or drop in on the many music venues all within 10 to 20 minutes from your cottage.
Enjoy a stroll, run or bike ride through Shelby Park located just one block from your front door. The park offers over 300 acres of wetlands and trails that run along the Cumberland River where you might catch sight of the General Jackson Showboat chugging down the river.
On the other side of the Cumberland is the Grand Ole Opry. Take in a concert or go shopping at the Opry Mills Mall but don’t miss a walk through the spectacular atrium at the Opryland Hotel which is free and all are located within the same vicinity.
Nashville's airport is also easily accessible and less than 9 miles (approx. 16 minutes) from the guest cottage.
Your stay will leave you in want of nothing else except to explore the sights and sounds of what is nicknamed “Nashvegas”.

I had such a great trip and a big part of this was my enjoyable stay at Craig and Cynthia's cottage in East Nashville. It is perfectly located for all the must-sees in that part of town and it was a real pleasure that Shelby Park was on the doorstep. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Craig and Cynthia were great hosts. Friendly, welcoming and very easy to deal with. They made every effort to accommodate me and were particularly helpful when my plans changed at the last minute which I am most grateful for. I look forward to going back when I can.
Unbelievable hotel alternative for less, with added bonus of fully appointed kitchen. Great safe family neighbourhood, close to downtown and virtually everything else (you have to drive everywhere in this city but it's all close). The greatest little house. Beautiful appointments inside and out and fully loaded with cable/Netflix, fully equipped kitchen, even got the awesome jar of fresh ground coffee and a bit of breakfast stuff as per a previous review. Craig and Cynthia are super accommodating and were available by text at any time. Would love to make this a regular Nashville stop. Hope it's available next time we come to town! Thanks again guys.
Our trip from NYC to Nashville was a bit of a mess due to weather and our initial flight getting cancelled. When we finally arrived we found a warm clean cottage and a friendly host. Cynthia was very conscientious and checked in on us to make sure we were ok etc. I'd highly recommend this listing.
What an adorable place to stay! This was only my second time using airbnb and Craig and Cynthia went above and beyond all expectations. The cottage was spotless and oh so cute and there were snacks, a little something to eat for breakfast, and coffee in the kitchen, which we did not expect at all. Everything worked great (heating, wifi, TV, etc.), and the bed was very comfortable. The location was convenient to downtown, only a cheap cab ride, or an even cheaper bus ride away. Craig and Cynthia were very nice and extremely helpful, and we only wish we could have stayed longer!
We totally loved Craig and Cynthia and the place was wonderful: clean, quiet, cozy, charming! Cynthia is so sweet and accommodating, available yet never intrusive. Thanks for a great stay; we will definitely be back!
This Cottage is absolutely amazing! So cozy and comfortable. Cynthia went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. Next time I'm in Nashville I will be saying here again!
This would be my second stay at Cynthia and Craig's sweet little cottage in East Nashville. Once again, we were treated to a very great, comfortable stay. Cynthia was as always incredibly gracious, welcoming, and helpful. The house was warm and cozy and we couldn't have felt more comfortable. Truly a great way to stay when visiting Nashville!
Cynthia was a great host! We really enjoyed her cute little house. Everything was comfortable and cozy during our stay. We truly enjoyed Nashville and all it has to offer. Thanks Cynthia!
My husband took me to Tennesee for my birthday this year! We flew to Memphis then rented a car and drove to Nashville....both cities were on my desired travel list and they didn't disappoint! In Memphis we stayed at The Peabody, but our stay in Nashville was our first Airbnb experience and it was SO great. I highly recommend staying with Craig and Cynthia. The cottage is adorable, perfect for two people and really cozy. You feel separated from the main house, which was good for me...I didn't want to feel like I was invading their privacy and in return, we felt like we had a world of our own. The only two cons (that are vastly outdone by the pros): 1.) The shower is tiny and that was awkward for my husband (6'4 tall people problems) I could hear is elbows banging against the wall as he tried to maneuver :) It's something to think about if you are substantially sized. 2.) The bed (although comfortable) makes A LOT of noise when either party moves throughout the night. Very interrupted sleep, but really no biggie. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The location of their neighborhood was ideal...very quiet and easy to navigate. Not far from the highways or downtown and near a lot of really neat pocket neighborhoods with good eating and shops and coffee.
Jenna thank you for the great things you said about our cottage as we take a lot of pride in keeping it nice and we also want people to have an enjoyable experience during their stay.
We are surprised to find out about the noisy bed however. This is the very first we have heard about it and being as it is less than a year old,,,well I will check into it.
Thank you again for letting us know.
This was by far THE BEST Air BNB experience I've ever had -- and I've honestly only had good ones. I know it's customary to leave nice comments when you have a pleasant Air BNB stay, but it's not hyperbole when I say that this could not have been a more wonderful place to stay.
I was in Nashville for five days on business and I had a much better time than my colleagues paying five times as much to stay downtown at the Omni. Since I was staying for a while, Craig and Cynthia stocked the fridge with raisin bread, butter and a jug of orange juice. I was able to do laundry with the supplied detergent. Ironing board and iron? They had one. They had everything. Parking was super convenient. The neighborhood was great. The rooms were absolutely spotless. The place could not have been cleaner, quieter, more private, more convenient or more welcoming.
Cynthia and Craig were great hosts, too. We'd chat if we happened to bump into each other, and they were always available by text (they kindly dropped a letter in the outgoin(website hidden) for me), but they left me alone to do my thing -- and considering I was in Nashville for a very busy business trip, that was appreciated.
I hope to stay here again. Thanks, Craig and Cynthia!
