About This Listing
Located on the outskirts of Sernikaki, a 15-minute drive from the ancient site of Delfi, our Studios offer great accommodation with a traditional restaurant with terrace, and spacious rooms with large balconies.
Konstantinos was a really nice host. We stayed two nights. The spot is very quiet, and very convenient if you want to visit Delphi (20 minutes away by car). The room was large, spotless clean and very comfortable! The breakfast was very good and served in the restaurant that Konstantinos runs just below the studios. It offers a very nice setting in which you can also have dinner in the evening (the food the is very good and astonishingly cheap) with people from the village.
Konstantinos greeted us on our arrival. He was very friendly and welcoming. We were delighted with the location and our room. The room was very spacious and airy which was perfect. The view from the room was breathtaking and we couldn't believe our luck. We ate at Konstantinos' restaurant both nights we stayed and we loved trying the traditional Greek food. Konstantinos recommended a lovely quiet beach area while we were there which we went to and it was like our own little beach, beautiful!
What a beautiful place! The hotel is in a valley in a canyon. An experience I won't soon be forgetting.
Good: A very comfortable room in an isolated quiet village surrounded by mountains. Lovely host. Just 20 minutes away from Delphi archeological site.
Not so good: Information on booking site was wrong (no waterfront, no pool or hot tub, no washer, ...) - somehow someone had hacked the site. But was OK for us as we were not needing these.
A little difficult to find as address/map is not the correct one and it took a while for Konstantinos (over 36hr, emails and texts) to provide us with the information... also, he confused left & right in the directions... but luckily we found it in the end.
Quiet village (one little shop, nothing else), but with a lot of dogs and cockerels who are quite active during the night. Makes it a rural experience, not really unpleasant, but noisy... and makes a change from the traffic noise of the city.
Shower could do with attachment higher up so one could wash hair standing up rather than kneeling down.
Bathroom accordion door is very noisy to open and close, and doesn't offer much privacy.
Kitchen badly stocked (e.g. nothing to make tea/coffee), and the dishes that we were going to used were dirty.
I stayed here because of the great reviews and the were ALL CORRECT! The authentic Greek dishes were tasty served with warm smiles, fresh baked breads, local cheese and olives from the region. Konstantinos maintains a very clean & friendly environment. We intend to come back in June for another visit to Delphi. Thank you so much!
What a perfect place to retreat to after a busy day of sightseeing and driving to Delphi. The food was homemade and wonderful, the setting very peaceful, and perhaps most memorable was the warm, genuine hospitality of Konstantinos. We got a little lost finding the place and Konstantinos kindly drove out out of his way to pick us up! We also did a beautiful run through the olive groves in the morning, magical!
