A food, and nature lover. I am an organic veggie farmer that is slowly moving into the animal world of farming. Food and health are on the top of my list. I believe food has the power to heal and connect us. You are what you eat; what did you have for breakfast?
My partner is a prairie restorationist, passionately pouring energy into balancing the natural world. He combats invasives like garlic mustard and multi flora rose and spends time planting natives seeds. When there is time to fly fish the magical streams that are in abundance in this neck of the woods he does so.
We try to live lite on this space that we live. Heating our home with renewables, eating from our garden and neighbors gardens, and raising animal with love and courage. Our "Big Screen" is the window that faces the valley full of natures offering, and the night sky that offers amazing shows. Never a rerun here.
We enjoy bluegrass, blues, folk music and listen to public radio. We live a full life spending much of our time right here in our little paradise.

During your stay
It depends how busy we are with farm chores and life. If guests want to know more about our place and the area and want to interact I can be really chatty. It would be best for guests to tell us what they want. Occasional weekend workshops. Let us know if you want a real farm stay experience.
